Oh no. This article has the potential to really fire up this board again with some heated discussion :funny:

I really like the idea of seeing Hush as vililan in the next one and Deadshot too, think they could really work well if done correctly.

I really want Killer Croc! I'd love to see the movie version based on the Hush one. Though I know people could say it looks too similar to the Lizard in TASM.

Honestly...if they end up doing another trilogy, I think it would be great to save Joker for the final film. They really need to build up the audience's appetite for this rebooted Batman world to the point where they're just dying to see the return of The Joker like we were after the final scene of Batman Begins.

I think if the Joker is included again it should sorta be like Crane's. One film where he is the main villain with the rest being nothing more than a couple of scenes. So far in film we haven't The Joker in the same franchise for 2 films, so I'd love to see their relationship develop.

But surely the guy has a point? I mean doesn't TDKR prove that The Joker isn't the person putting bums on seats?

Using Hush in Batmans origin (decades from now) would be a way to parallel Hush's backstory with Batman's. Perhaps seeing a bit of Bruce's childhood through the eyes of Thomas Elliot. A different way to go about it maybe.

That would be good but didn't they sorta parrallel Bane's backstory with Bruce's? Something drastic happens to them early on that determines who they are going to be, one turns to good, one turns to evil. They both are taken in by the LoS but both leave, one for good, one os to extreme. However, they are lght similarities a Hush parrallel would be good.

That's because Ebert didn't write it. He uploaded it.

I think it would have been awesome to have seen the whole Batman leaving the city with the bomb then when it shows Bruce in the cafe it does a quick flashback to see Batman leap out to land on top of the bridge then they do the long bridge shot of Batman *cut to credits* with the Blake cave stuff before the ending.

Looks like there's some news on a scene that got cut in the News Section :(

I haven't read it properly. Just wanted to share the news :oldrazz: Even the Lindy Lemming didn't know about it until it was told! Hopefully this means there will be these extended stuff on Bluray even though I doubt it.

Just go back to the concept of the ending being cheesy or predictable....didn't Bruce have to live? Unless i am wrong, the theme of TDKR was Bruce being able to leave Gotham on his own terms and live a different life.....also, I feel keeping him alive means that he could help out the new Batman or whatever if the new Batman needed guidance or got in trouble. Of the problems in tDKR, Buce being alive was not one of them in my opinion.

Lindy Hemming who worked on the film as a custume designer talks about one of Bane's origin scenes that was cut.

Lindyndy Hemming:
It's not out in England yet, but the other thing that you should have seen during that sequence is him being injured in his youth. So one of the fundamental things about his costume is that he has this scar from the back injury. Even if he hasn't got the bulletproof vest on, he still has to wear the waist belt and the braces. In that scene in the prison, where he's learning to fight the same way Batman learned to fight, he's wearing an early version of his waist belt. It's showing support, but it's not the finished one he eventually wears. He's also wearing an early version of his gas mask, all glued together.

GQ:
I remember one scene where we see his face covered in bandages, is this what you're referring to?

Lindy Hemming:
Well, if you look at the film, unless they've cut it—and I'm sure they haven't—there's a whole early section for Tom Hardy where he's fighting and being taunted by people. He's got chains on him, and he's standing on a wooden thing while people are attacking him. And in that scene, he's wearing a much more ragged, primitive version of the mask.

GQ:*I think that Bane scene must've been cut...

*Lindy Hemming:*Well that's an awful shame, but I suppose you have to cut things. I won't elaborate on it too much, because it isn't in the film, but there was another section that showed you why he had the mask and where it came from.

While I'm confident that The Joker, Two-Face and Ra's Al Ghul could be done better, or at least in a different, interesting manner...they were handled pretty darn well in this franchise. The next franchise should concentrate on characters that haven't been used in a while, and take a different approach. I'm thinking the City of Freaks angle is the way to go, maybe The Penguin, Riddler, Hugo Strange, Black Mask, introduce the idea of the freak mobster, or at least the evolution of the mob into something weirder. There's a chance for characters like Freeze and Ivy to play a role, and for weirder stuff like Man-Bat and Killer Croc to get a nod. Utilize Arkham Asylum a bit more. I'd like to see a more complete version of The Scarecrow, but I won't mind if they don't use him for a while. if Dent or Selina are going to be used, I'd rather see them as a constant presence in the franchise, developing into their eventual "freak" identities VS throwing Two-Face and Catwoman in there right away.

I think that they shouldn't bring Joker in the next reboot straight away - they should bring The Riddler instead, since he would be the next director's answer to the Joker and would keep things fresh since he has characteristics to differentiate him from the Joker too. It would be cool if he was a psycho private detective in a more detective-focused story.
