Agreed. I work in NYC, and my office is about a block away away from the Lincoln Square theater (the same one where they had the NY premiere) with a 'real' IMAX, so I saw it there when I saw TDKR for the second time and it was amazing. I hadn't been to a genuine IMAX in so long that I'd forgotten what a difference it was from the usual lieMAX. I have a couple of gift cards, so I think I'm going to see it there one more time before it leaves.
So yeah, definitely worth the trip.![]()
You're convincing me to spend that ~$20 to go see it in Lincoln Square.

Does it launch him 6 miles in five seconds though?
Who said he had 5 seconds to eject? it was meant to throw you off to think he died. Basic film editing 101.

in the spoiler tags.Hey, guys, I just wanted to share that tonight I went to see TDKR for the third and probably final time on the big screen for me. I'm just so energetic and genuinely happy. This movie tells such a beautiful story that it managed to touch me the same way it did the previous times even though I haven't done anything but discuss it with you for the past couple of weeks.
After all the analyzing we did here I managed to notice a few more details and as a whole enjoy it under another light. Some comments of yours that have stuck with me, some of the scenes you enjoyed most and which I hadn't paid enough attention (apparently) the previous times, all of those plus all my favourite stuff about this movie... it was purely amazing. I was literally able to produce all of the dialogue for most of the scenes before it happened and this made it so unique and enjoyable.
Especially the moments with Selina Kyle. Those were so strong and powerful, so I remembered some of our discussions about her and those ideas... they added another layer to her performance. I was mind blown.
The ending once again did it for me. I felt so happy that it is hard for me to describe it right now.
Thanks for the lovely discussions guys.
Enjoy yourself. IMAX is a great experience.I'm seeing it for my 4th time tomorrow then hopefully my fifth and final time in a real IMAX which will be my first ever experience in one.
t:I hear that the general public loved it, the fanboys/girls undecided about what to make of it and critics embraced it, yet its score on imdb is a mere 8.7 at 21 and dropping.
What is the story behind the fire that rises anyway?

I am not trying to quantify the score, just look at the movies in the top 20; are they really any better?
