J/K guys, yeah thats true especially if they are working on a Justice League film.

Agreed. I work in NYC, and my office is about a block away away from the Lincoln Square theater (the same one where they had the NY premiere) with a 'real' IMAX, so I saw it there when I saw TDKR for the second time and it was amazing. I hadn't been to a genuine IMAX in so long that I'd forgotten what a difference it was from the usual lieMAX. I have a couple of gift cards, so I think I'm going to see it there one more time before it leaves.

So yeah, definitely worth the trip.

You're convincing me to spend that ~$20 to go see it in Lincoln Square.

How big is the Lincoln Square Theatre IMAX? BFI's is 20X26 meters.

If you have the ability to see it there and don't, it's an absolute crime. That screen is just beastly.

They are.

It's a fact.

Now go cry into your Cheerios.

Yeah apparently a script is written as well....

Looks like they are going straight in to it with no build up films.

I dont know why yall hating on Premium Rush, it has a 77% on Rotten Tomatoes! Im seeing it this weekend!

Does it launch him 6 miles in five seconds though?

:oldrazz::oldrazz:

However, I always felt when we see Bruce at the cafe it should flashback to him leaping out of the Bat on top of the bridge THEN we have the bridge shot. It would mean a lot more plus tell us how he done it.

Hey, guys, I just wanted to share that tonight I went to see TDKR for the third and probably final time on the big screen for me. I'm just so energetic and genuinely happy. This movie tells such a beautiful story that it managed to touch me the same way it did the previous times even though I haven't done anything but discuss it with you for the past couple of weeks.
After all the analyzing we did here I managed to notice a few more details and as a whole enjoy it under another light. Some comments of yours that have stuck with me, some of the scenes you enjoyed most and which I hadn't paid enough attention (apparently) the previous times, all of those plus all my favourite stuff about this movie... it was purely amazing. I was literally able to produce all of the dialogue for most of the scenes before it happened and this made it so unique and enjoyable.
Especially the moments with Selina Kyle. Those were so strong and powerful, so I remembered some of our discussions about her and those ideas... they added another layer to her performance. I was mind blown.
The ending once again did it for me. I felt so happy that it is hard for me to describe it right now.
Thanks for the lovely discussions guys.

P.S I can still hear Hans Zimmer's scores in my mind and the fact that this time I could actually name most of the bits and pieces in the movie... awesome!

I'm seeing it for my 4th time tomorrow then hopefully my fifth and final time in a real IMAX which will be my first ever experience in one.

I'll be seeing it for the 13th and final time at the Lincoln Square Imax this Saturday. Then it's the long wait til Bluray in December for me. I only hope the Bluray is packed with tons of behind the scenes goodies. No way we get an audio commentary, but hopefully Nolan and WB rewards the fans with some sweet Docs about the making of the final chapter in Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy. And just maybe Hathaways' screen test for Selina.

Yes.
Coincidentally I saw it for my third time today as well(!), and was still entirely blown away.
I love this amazing film.

Enjoy yourself. IMAX is a great experience.

Saw the film for the third time last week. The second time was better for me, but it's still a great, very entertaining movie.

I found myself cheering again during the climbing scenes, still shocked at the first encounter with Bane and what he does to Batman and still emotional during the last 5 minutes, when Bruce tells Gordon who he is and when Alfred is crying in front of the graves.

Of course it's not a perfect film, and there are many things i dislike aout it, but I think we are so lucky to have the character treated with respect and being taken to new places.

I specially felt nostalgic when, at the end of the film, i remembered TDK ending: "Sometimes people deserve to have their faith rewarded" the people of Gotham, Alfred, Lucius, Bruce..they all get their fate rewarded in the end.

And it's hard to believe this ride is almost over (with the bluray release). I haven't been here a lot since february, but it was quite a ride, and i enjoyed it with most of you guys.
Sorry for the long and pointless post, but had to get it off my chest!

And looking forward to read Gill's stories, I'm sure they'll be really interesting :woot:

Fire Rises = Nuke going off and the widescale revolt that Bane and Talia wanted to inspire.

I hear that the general public loved it, the fanboys/girls undecided about what to make of it and critics embraced it, yet its score on imdb is a mere 8.7 at 21 and dropping.

What is the story behind the fire that rises anyway?

8.7 on IMDb is by no means a lackluster score. Very few movies get as high a rating on that site.

"When a forest grows too wild, a purging fire is inevitable and natural." -- Batman Begins

But yeah, what Mr. Wooden Sexy Face said. :o

I am not trying to quantify the score, just look at the movies in the top 20; are they really any better?

Yes, yes they are. The top 20 are leaps and bounds better than TDKR. TDKR was a good movie, but it should count itself lucky to be in the top 30.

OT: Geoff Boucher is leaving the LAT.

I'm curious if he'll do another exclusive Nolan interview to discuss TDKR once the Blu-Ray hits.
