Did anyone here see TDKR at the London BFI IMAX? My local "lie"Max is 20X8.75meters however BFI's is 26X20 I've always wanted to go to a proper IMAX but will there be THAT much difference for the 1 and a half hour trip?
I live in the states, but I drove 2 hours to go see it on a true IMAX screen and it was absolutely worth the drive. It's an amazing all around experience and I highly recommend it.

Cool to see that Gill replied. Can't wait for the thread Gill, take your time, didn't mean to sound like I was rushing you. Just glad to know that the thread is still going to happen.

And ChrisB is viewing this thread! Oh the memories. Can you guys believe we've seen The Dark Knight Rises?

true Imax is also like the only time movies (filmed) in 3d are worth it.

Agreed. I work in NYC, and my office is about a block away away from the Lincoln Square theater (the same one where they had the NY premiere) with a 'real' IMAX, so I saw it there when I saw TDKR for the second time and it was amazing. I hadn't been to a genuine IMAX in so long that I'd forgotten what a difference it was from the usual lieMAX. I have a couple of gift cards, so I think I'm going to see it there one more time before it leaves.

So yeah, definitely worth the trip.

Taking a friend to see this in real, glorious IMAX on Saturday. It's been a month since I saw the movie. I can't wait to see how much I remember and what new things I notice.

I saw it in at the London BIF IMAX two days after it was released and it was epic. One of the best looking films I have seen. I have watched it two more times since, once in liemax and once on a regular screen and they don't do the film justice. The scene when Bruce makes the jump to escape the pit had every hair on my body standing up and was realy emotional in true IMAX but watching it in a regular theatre sort of left me like

I'm going to take my mom and a friend to a regular cinema for their first and my third viewing. I'm pretty sure I know the dialogues by heart. I'll be enjoying this move so much more than they will :D

I've seen it there twice, and going again on wednesday, and it takes me about the same amount of time to get there, but I'd definitely say it's worth it.

Does anyone know the exact time of the film excluding end credits? Or is it 165 minutes with end credits?

Edit: No worries according to most *ahem* bootlegs it seems to be 155 minutes. 10 minutes of credits sound right?

Yeah, I never believed that myth. He'd be way too busy overseeing the editing of the actual film to be doing that.

Although I could see him having some more involvement with the teasers, or at least coming up with the concepts for them since they're a lot more basic.

He may not have time to cut the trailers, but I wouldn't doubt he has the final decision on them.

JOSEPH GORDON-LEVITT
It's an honor. I'll go research who Tom Hardy is, since you learned his name despite nobody using it around you.

Speaking with Comic Book Movie recently, Modine opened up about the fate of his character, Foley, a Gotham Police Officer who didn’t initially stand behind Commissioner Gordon’s plot to takedown Bane or John Blake’s attempt to resurrect Batman, but later had a change of heart – **SPOILER** albeit one that comes before the siege on Gotham claims his life. In the film a quick cut leads us to believe that Modine’s character has passed, but according to leaked set photos and video, Modine was supposed to meet his end under the wheels of Talia al Ghul’s camouflage tumbler.

When asked if he was surprised to see Foley’s death, Modine replied, “Yes. But edited movies are always a surprise. I'm hoping that the reason for this edit, which by the way was an incredible stunt and powerfully shot, is that, if there is a subsequent Batman film, Foley may not actually be dead. He found something out about himself in the streets of Gotham and he could be a worthy new Police Commissioner of the city we love.” We think Modine is being a little playful with the fanboy set, it seems pretty obvious there won’t be any further adventures, at least for Nolan’s interpretation of Batman. But it's interesting that Nolan gave him a less flashy death than one that would've involved bring crushed by a tumbler.
