maybe i have hearing problems.. but ive never heard him sound the same as normal bruce at anytime with the cowl on.
When he's talking to Catwoman in city hall its in his normal voice. Same when he's talking to Talia (of course he's stabbed but its not a calmer Bat voice. It's Bruce).

Yeah at least a few i can remember were when he talks to Rachel in the cave in Begins, when he says "He's safe" to Rachel in TDK, and right after Talia stabs him in TDKR. I think the rises one was my favorite. He sounds so helpless and shocked. "Miranda.........Why?" Love that one.

I love that moment, and it's the most blatant use of Bruce's own voice from within the suit.

I guess I'm being unclear. I wanted a bruce/alfred scene... maybe in the cave, while Bruce was talking normally... to Alfred... looking at his computers or something... you know , animated series style... just a calm batman researching...

but since it was hard for Bale to breathe in the cowl... i guess it couldnt happen...

but Bruce, talking normally in the cowl.

:(

And I always find it ridiculous that people find it difficult to accept that characters that have been a part of the same universe since the 40's and have evolved in their character to be malleable to that universe, exist in that same shared universe.

Different strokes I guess.

Yes , i know its old. I still dont like. Never did. Never will. I recognize there's some nice stories in there , and sometimes the contrast accentuates some stuff that well developed are pretty neat. But to me , it undermines the characterization of both characters , Bat's and Superman.

Because the previous stories weren't invented?

I didnt understand what you are trying to say. I was saying that regarding Bruce Wayne hanging the cowl. They invent some lame excuse and put him back in the game. It doesn't hurt the previous movies , they are self contained.

Not a lot to be excited for, but MTV has their top ten list of 2012 now:

1. The Dark Knight Rises
2. The Perks Of Being A Wallflower
3. Looper
4. Zero Dark Thirty
5. The Avengers
6. Skyfall
7. The Cabin In The Woods
8. Silver Linings Playbook
9. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
10. The Hunger Games

I'm glad to see TDKR at the top and, at the same time, loling considering how some were discounting the MTV rankings.

^^^ One of my favorite parts... its like Bruce is letting the 'bat' take over... hes unleashing that side of him... wonderful

:wow: HOLY CRAP. I just noticed that and rewatched the scene. HOLY CRAP!

Yep, it's the important plot point that proved he was becoming more Batman than Bruce Wayne.

It's true, that's 3 sides of the character in one big scene at the Penthouse Party. THAT'S why people need to shut the F up when it comes to Bale!

Yeah, Bale can't act in TDK? Whatever.

The MTV list makes WAY more sense than any list I've seen and that's not because TDKR is at the top.

Something I haven't seen brought up, after Bruce and Talia have sex, she suggests that they leave Gotham and take her private plane wherever they want to go. Trying to make some sense out of the Talia here, is it possible the original plan was to take Bruce to the prison at this point before he decided to got out and find Bane?

Possible. Although I think she knows that there's no way he'd say yes anyway.

That's how I interpreted the scene too. I feel that's part of why she seduces him. To get him softened up, either to fall into her trap or Bane's.

And she wanted to wear him out. :hehe:

Some obvious callbacks but some not so obvious.

Like I said, different strokes, I think separating characters that underwent an evolution together undermines their history as well as their character.

Oh well.

Oh, I thought you were saying that if they brought Bruce back it would just be something made up, as opposed to the other films apparently not being made up themselves.

Believe it or not, people have made that excuse before.

Awesome stuff Kane. Those images make me so happy, haha. I recently noticed Ra's gripping his vest like Bane on a re-watch of Batman Begins. Makes me wonder if Nolan told Hardy to watch Neeson's performance to pick up some nuances from him.

Watching the film as I type this just finished the stock/Batman return segment. Really really enjoying it a LOT for some reason much more than I did my last few views. This first hour and fifteen minutes is damn near flawless to me.

I showed my sister the stuff Kane posted ^^^... she was like, "I only see a couple that are similar and make sense."

I've been saying this many, many times but no one's really said anything back to me about it, lol.

I feel that, yes, Talia had a plan of taking Bruce to the Pit and revealing herself rather than Bane breaking Batman thus Talia would not really have a chance to reveal herself if Bruce didn't climb out of the Pit.
