Am I the only one not on the gushing TDK Returns bandwagon?
I like it plenty, but 'masterpiece' is pushing it. Deep, ground-breaking, thought-provoking for it's time? Yes. Flawless? Far from. In my opinion.
Also, I thought the Year One animated film was pretty good. Not perfect, but most of my issues lay with things like line delivery and accuracy to the visual power of the source material - both problems I also had with TDK Returns.
In my experience, there has never been a 100% perfect Batman film, cartoon, or comic. There's always at least one weak link.
Nolan has the best record when it comes to weak links.

I don't think everybody's being hipsters or anything, but I have only seen near-worship for it. I guess I'm just extremely picky about what I call a masterpiece. lol
