The Tumbler
That's pretty cool that the Tumbler made an appearance in an actual Batman comic.
No, I just think the temptation to blur the intellectual property into one overarching 'franchise' stifles creativity in the pursuit of uniformity. Comics tell superior stories to the movies which derive from them, in my opinion, because they are unencumbered by the need to safely manage huge budgets and vast international audiences. They can be inventive and take risks. If the comics ape the movies, then they are being derivative of something derivative.
I'm just not interested in that.
Cool find Joker, thanks for posting. I'm not currently reading Detective so I might not have come across that otherwise.
I have no problem with it at all. It in no way tries to imply that the Batman of the comics is the same one as the movies. Using the Tumbler doesn't box the writers in creatively at all, it's simply a choice to an make a nod to something the writer/artist enjoyed from the movies.
I like the idea that each version of Batman doesn't exist entirely in a bubble and there can be some cross pollination.
That doesn't add up, to me. How exactly can they make a reference to Batman that is emphatically not to Bale's Batman? Will it be the way they pronounce it? How are we supposed to infer that something different is conveyed in what will presumably be a simple name-drop of an off-screen character?Although this more than likely wont involve Nolan's Batman, this just came in from an anonymous source concerning reference of Batman/Wayne Enterprises in MOS:

I've seen the '66 batmobile and even the batman forever batmobile make appearances in the comics so i'm not sure why anybody would react negatively to the tumbler making as appearance?
That along with comic bane adopting a more TDKR Bane look are only good things in my view.
Have the comics started making Bane look more TDKR-like?
As for the reference, I think they'll have a scene in MOS that goes something like this:
Kid- Hey Superman, thanks for all the help. I hope you never retire.
Superman- If Batman won't bail on Gotham, than I'll never give up on you.
*Superman looks at the camera, points, and then winks.
Kid- Wait.....what?
*Superman starts to fly away, but in the distance shouts back to the kid
Superman- christianbalewontbeplayingbatmanwe'rerebootinghimmmmmmm........
