Thanks, I'm gonna try and do one for TDKR before Saturday.

Here's the one for Batman Begins:

Awesomeness.

Btw because of you and your damn avatar I have Batman and Robin on in the background. Ivy just busted Freeze out of Arkham. "I HOPE MR. BANE CAN SWIM!!!!"

Batman...sharks. Most people might think of the shark repellant Bat-spray. I think of this.

This could be a fight scene in Batman vs Sharknado.

While, we're crossing DC with Asylum:

Superman vs Mega Shark

Wonder Woman vs Crocosaurus

Batman, lightsabers, and sharks - that's like the perfect movie trifecta.

Thanks.

I found this vfx footage for Batman Begins. I don't think it was ever shown in the extras.

and the HBO making of for Batman Begins

Damn. It's just a week away from TDKR being one year old. :wow:

...and I think I've seen TDKR from start to finish maybe less than 10 times (theatrical and home combined). :csad:

I've seen it about...9 times. I usually try not to watch this trilogy for long stretches at a time because it just makes it more satisfying to sit down and watch them all.

TDKR may be one of the most memorable film experiences I've ever had, and definitely the best superhero conclusion I've ever seen. Heck, I've seen this film more than 20 times and I'm still drawn by the film.

I saw 4 times on the big screen, and once from start to the end in bluray and more two jumping some parts(blake), giving stop after the cafe scene.

I'll try to see it again from beginning to end.:/

Just rewatched the entire trilogy on boxset after finally getting round to buying it.

All three still amazing and getting better with age, but its also slightly depressing. Will we ever get another comic book film to rival BB or TDKR let alone the peak of TDK.

All three films are just so much more compelling and actually have something to say than pretty much all other CBM's before and every one since, but hope is something I learned from this trilogy to never let go of so hopefully in the future something will float my boat in the same way but for now its the bar all others aspire to in my eyes but I am sure one day something will equal it at least.

Fitting that I watched the trilogy a year after TDKR but that was just coincidental :woot:

:batman:

Blake and some questionable Catwoman choices aside... I do dearly love TDKR.

I think I'll miss Bale's Batman and Oldman's Gordon the most.

Yep, along with Ledger's Joker, they were the highlights of the trilogy.

I think I'll miss Bale's Batman and Oldman's Gordon the most.

I loved their dynamic. When Bruce visits him in the hospital and grabs his hand as he steps out, it really felt like they were old friends.

TDKR does have issues but I'm glad it exists. I dig the score. Hobo Bruce. Gordon in the sewers. Meeting Gordon in hospital. Batman's first return. Getting flogged by Bane. The climb. The section where Batman fights Bane again. And for me it'll always be the movie where Anne played Selina Kyle. Love all those scenes.

Happy 12 months TDKR!

Its funny, Hathaway's Selina was a low point for me. In fact, I think TDKR rests more heavily on the powers of Bale and Oldman than either of its predecessors.

For me Oldman's Gordon was at his weakest in TDKR. Between sitting around in a hospital bed for half the movie, making brain fart decisions like sending all the Cops into the sewers etc, this was his weakest outing. Oldman was still solid as always and did have a some good scenes, but he paled in comparison to his previous two outings.

Hathaway's Selina on the other hand was one of the true constant delights for me.

I liked the contrast between Gordon in TDK and in TDKR. In TDK he was on the rise, confident, assertive, making moves, taking risks, etc.

In TDKR, it's a heavy is the head that wears the crown sort of thing. He's older, weathered, carrying a heavy burden, being slowly eaten up inside by his own conscience, but then slowly finding purpose again with that fire returning towards the end (like that scene where he's berating Foley for his cowardice).

Really nice arc, and I think Oldman made the most of it despite having a less 'exciting' part to play than he did in TDK. He felt like "Commissioner Gordon" to me this time, not Lieutenant Gordon. The fact that he put on a few pounds didn't hurt :funny:
