I thought O'Donnell's Robin was well done in Batman Forever. It's just that Batman & Robin permanently ruined that Robin's reputation.

And yes, I would take Forever's Robin over Blake as well (B&R's Robin is a whole different story).

I don't really think there's much of a point in comparing O'Donnell's Robin and John Blake. Blake, although he embodied elements of multiple Robins from the comics, was still just Nolan's nod to the character in general.

Was it the car? You're probably jealous that chicks dig the car.

I agree. I know we sound like a broken record, but Blake and Talia should have been cut from the film entirely. Every time Blake was on screen, I thought "I really wanna get back to Batman and/or Gordon now." lol

Same. Miranda Tate was a bore of a character. Her Talia reveal scene was the only time in the movie when I enjoyed Cottiard.

And then she dies like two or three scenes later, and to top it off a bad death scene at that.

One of the worst death scenes I have ever seen....ever! :hehe:

TDKR felt like a set-up for a John Blake solo movie at times. The middle part of Rises drags. More Selina and Bruce and less Blake would've been much better.

^ I can agree with that bit. I don't think it drags, but I did want to get back to Bruce.

Agreed, I also think they could have just cut Matthew Modine's character completely and had a bit more Batman.

In the amidst of so much trolling in this section of the boards (particularly this topic) , i don't know if this was already posted

Pretty cool. I hadn't seen it. (more TDK than Rises related actually)

I'm loving how the only people who have problems with Travesty's posts happen to be the same guys who've been TDKR over the past year.

And I love it how the people who applaud Travesty for his tired attempts at humour are the ones who still feel the need to bash TDKR almost 2 years on. :cwink:

Theres's people still defending this movie like it's the greatest movie ever almost two years later, too. Heck, I'm sure Anno is still fighting with someone over the quality of TDKR in some message board. I like the film, but if this thread is going to remain open, you will continue to see both lovers and haters discussing it. It's not one or the other.

What if Travesty has seen a lot of films and has decides that her death is the worst he's seen?

I think some people confuse the claim that Forever's Robin is superior to Blake as trolling.

Then he hasn't seen enough because there's MUCH worse out there when it comes to death scenes.

The "feeling it in his bones and stuff" crap is getting really annoying and OLD. It's literally the same joke over and over everyday for the last 2 years. Find some new jokes for crying out loud. It was funny the first few times, sure, but it's stale now.

Regarding Talia I think the twist was more of a problem.

Now the child being Bane surprised me but her reveal was painfuly obvious and I didn't even see the set pictures.

In all seriousness, while I liked Blake (and am indifferent to Talia, with the exception of that B-Movie like death scene), I agree.
