And I just burst out laughing.
But did he speak in a horrible Brooklyn accent?

Nope, it was a nod TO ME!^ Lol...Honestly, that show cribs so much from the Nolan trilogy, that I wouldn't be susrprised if it was an intentional nod to TDKR.
