Lol, you always whip out that gif at the most choice moments JW.

The aesthetic of all three films are so vastly different that part of me wants to see TDK in the aesthetic of Batman Begins.

I always think about Joker wondering around doing his thing while the events of the ending of BB takes place. Find it interesting to think of how he would look in the feel of that movie.

I liked the art work for TDK. I thought it looked a lot better than what was in the film.

Why is it that part 5,17,22, 40, 45,55, 63, 70, 77,78,79,80,81,82,85, 90-126, 127, 130, 135-144, 147,148, 150.....

....

all look the same?

So I was thinking about TDKR, yet again, and I had a question.....did Tom Conti's character in the pit, or anyone down there for that matter, know Bruce was Batman? Now I'm fairly sure he knew he was Bruce Wayne; eccentric billionaire, by the fact of him saying "But no ordinary child. A child born in hell, forged by suffering, hardened by pain. Not a man from privilege". I assumed at least the blind prisoner knew something was up, with his whole speech about fighting longer than possible.

He knew he was Batman by seeing his face, and feeling it in his bones and stuff. :rimshot:

I'm here all night, folks.....

I'd say they probably knew. They had to be aware that Bruce Wayne was an enemy of Bane's, not just some random rich dude he threw down there for lulz. And the fact that Bruce tells the blind prisoner, "I'm afraid to die in here, while my city burns." I always figured they understood that Bruce was Gotham's protector (and it only has one famous protector), and that Bane wanted him out of the way while he executed his plan and wanted Bruce to feel utterly helpless about it.

I felt it in my bones and stuff that Trav would have a response like that ;)

They never really imply that Conti or any of the pit prisoners know he's Batman. There's probably all sorts of people from all walks of life in that pit whom Bane imprisoned for some reason or another. Conti did call it Bane's prison. He probably figures Bruce Wayne as just another victim of it. Bruce saying he fears for his city dying doesn't really make him Batman. Gotham is his home town. Who wouldn't fear their home city being destroyed. Especially with the rep the Wayne family has for helping Gotham.

Well, the blind prisoner tells him, "Then make the climb." It's as if he understands that Bruce, one man, can go back home and make a difference, improve the situation. If he was just some random billionaire it doesn't make as much sense for him to be acting like his Yoda there.

That never made sense to me. Why didn't he just tell Bruce that from the get-go, instead of letting him make two failed attempts.

Bah, fooey Trav. And what kind of sage/mentor would he be if he just gave him the solution right away? Bruce had to fully realize what he was missing first before he could gain it back.

This is hero's journey 101 people! :oldrazz:

Haha, you're incorrigible. Don't even know where to start on that one, so I won't. :yay:

Why didn't Bane focus on Batman's back in the rematch? Those punches, he would have felt them in his bones.

IIRC, there was a section of Batman Vs Bane part II that was cut out of the film, where Bane has Batman held by his neck; trying to break his neck. There is even a still of this from the shooting.

Nope. How would he know anyway? Im sure he's been there for a while. I would love to hear that conversation where Bruce tries to explain to him that he dresses like a Bat in an American city, without sounding like a complete moron.

Conti probably just sees him as a rich man thrown in the pit for his "sins".
