I tend to lean more towards The Shape's interpretation of the Morrison quote. If Morrison actually suggested Marilyn Manson to Leto, seems it was a bad idea. Still looking forward to the performance though. Very curious about the creepy old man laugh.

Yeah. We know that the slicked back hair was something Morrison liked for his Joker. Maybe he envisioned his Joker as having something of a Marilyn Manson vibe, in some ways. Who knows.

Either way, I really can't wait to see it all come together in the full performance.

I have to say, the bright redness of the lips of Heath's Joker goes a long way in making it feel like The Joker and not something else. To me that's an essential part of the iconography. Leto's lips do look more red in the trailer than in these pics though, so that's good.

I didn't know posting on a PUBLIC message board thread was "hiding". Not to mention several of the SS and BvS posters also post in this thread. Are you so ignorant that you've never seen people criticize other posters opinions and posts in other threads that are in a totally separate forum?

There's even a thread in the Community forum called TIVO specifically made for it. Even this very thread and the people in it have have been mocked in it.

although i like nolan's immoral deviation, i suspect a snyder-designed bane would indeed look more like the comic book version than nolan's did.

an ayer-designed bane... maybe. maybe not.

I'm pretty sure Snyder's Bane would be played by a bodybuilder or wrestler, enhanced with more CGI muscles.

Ayer's...I agree, it could go either way. I wouldn't mind seeing him pop up in the DCEU. You have to wonder if he's a villain that Batfleck has encountered in the past, and if so, if the back-break is part of his canon.
