This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]501279[/split]
It's just an excuse to diss me over and over for an entire thread, probably.
They're welcome to it. As long as they're having fun. It means nothing anyway.
Because I placed a rule where you can nominate Hypesters. Only one the ones with the highest nominations get in. It evens the playing field and makes things a lot more interesting.![]()

Skyfall is a favorite of mine too. Not sure why you twisted my words into some bizarre absolute.
I'm referring to a particular sequence of scenes in Skyfall... the weakest part of the film, which is a poor imitation compared to the parallel sequence in TDK
Nobody twisted anything. Your words were "I love TDK but I hate when people try to copy it. Usually ends up being a poor imitation." I asked what movies you meant, you said Skyfall (and it was the only example you gave). You didn't specify only one particular sequence in it or anything. You just named the movie as a whole. So how else is one supposed to interpret this answer when you just name the movie as your answer for a poor imitator? Am I meant to read your mind and know you only mean one part of it instead of the whole movie?
I thought you loved the Schumacher filmsWell, I hate when people try to copy Batman 1966.![]()

Here are some visual parallels. Some are reaching, no doubt, but the similarities are there. But hey, i can do the same with Boogie Nights and Scorsese's work (especially GoodFellas). It doesn't make Skyfall any less of a movie, but the influence is strong.
If anything, watching Skyfall just makes me want to watch TDK more.
If you're not a mind-reader, then here's a tip: don't try to read my mind. Especially since you seem to always read it wrong.
You could try charitably holding a conversation, and maybe not immediately assuming the worst about someone's opinion. I was obviously referring only to the copied parts, not the film as a whole. The entire film was not a TDK imitation. I mean, duh.

I'm not assuming the worst, I'm taking your response for what it was, not what you intended it to be. You were not obviously referring to anything. You just said Skyfall as the answer to being a poor TDK imitator. If you only mean specific parts of it then say so. Otherwise just saying the movie means you're referring to the movie as a whole.
Sorry. I assumed you were familiar with the parts of Skyfall that copied TDK.
I'll know to spell everything out for you in intricate detail next time.
