I'm just hoping it's the takes they're choosing of Jesse. Look at the difference between his read of "do you know the oldest lie in America, Senator?" in the last trailer and this one. Totally different.

The crazy thing is that even though I was just criticizing Ben the other day, he turned out to be my favorite part of this trailer. Right now I'm thinking there's a very real possibility that Jesse won't work at all, which could be a huge issue. He just seems SO hammy, which is weird considering he's repeatedly said that this isn't another Gene Hackman type of version.

The impression I got from that scene was that everyone knew who everyone was, including Lex.

Yeah, he's gotta know. And once Superman sees Batman in costume, he'll know right away that he's really Bruce. I like that.

They should do it the way the Batman/Superman crossover did it in the DCAU. The moment Batman and Superman met, Superman just used his x-ray vision and looked straight through Batman's cowl and saw he was Bruce Wayne

I'm oddly...whelmed with this trailer. I think you just so used to trailers for these movies trying to be the. most. epicccc. thinggg. everrr, and while I love that, this clearly took a different approach and tried to show us a different side of the movie. It was a bold choice. I can respect it.

Still have no idea what to make of it, but I will say that I can see this tone working for the Justice League films. What I'm wondering is if this movie is going to display the tonal disparity of its trailers, or if there's a consistent tone that lies somewhere in-between. It's going to be damn tricky to actually make all of this work.

Also, I really hope the music in the trailer wasn't Junkie XL's score. Was not impressed with that whatsoever.

I still love that whole thing. Then Batman put a tracer on him, follows him, and gives him a salute. I still remember cheering in my house like a nut.

Later trailers like this one often highlight some of the moments of levity to promote a more well-rounded film that isn't all darkness and gloom. I highly doubt that the tone of the film will be all over the place, but overall, I don't think it will nearly as full-on dreary as MOS was. Looks like they're having some fun with this, too, as it should be.

That was confirmed pretty quick, thanks. I thought they might give us a taste of the score with this trailer like they did with MoS trailer 3, so that was my only reason for concern there. After Fury Road I'm interested to see what he'll come up with.

I think it's just that the contrast was so stark because of how full-on dark the last two trailers were. You're right that it's normal, but it really felt like this was very conscious move to sprinkle as much humor as possible throughout the trailer. Mostly because of how stark the contrast was from the previous trailers. The big one was just letting that opening scene play out the way it did. It went a bit further than usual, considering this isn't a comedy. It's a smart move because it answers the criticisms that have been levied against DC, but it made for a bit of a strange, differently-paced kind of trailer. Like I said though, it was kind of refreshing in a way.

Watching it 10 times too. It's going to be fun, but it's usually not my cup of tea. At least we know what the Justice League tone is going to be. This trailer balanced everything and showed us what to expect for the future Snyder movies. More humor than Man of Steel. MOS should have had the same amount in my opinion.

It makes me want to skip 3 years so i can just watch the solo Batfleck, like i keep saying. Everything about Bruce/Bats/Gotham in this trailer kicks ass and now im hyped more for a Joker/Batman combo. Hopefully Jena Malone is Oracle and Cranston is Gordon!

The trailer was cut in a rather different way, but I'd be lying if I said that I didn't love the footage.

I'm still unsure about Lex, but at this point it seems like he is jus going to be OTT and weird. As long as he's not annoying...

I'm seeing some pretty negative reactions on the interwebs. Nothing new of course. Seems like a big turnaround from Monday where everyone was pretty excited about the new clip. Ironically that clip did not reflect the tone of the trailer much at all.

I still think it's a pretty interesting choice of direction. Not saying good or bad, but interesting. Another thing I'm wondering is if they are going to put out one more big, bad Nokia style trailer in Feb. or something and this is more just to tide the fans over and stay in the public consciousness.

About the cinematography, anyone notice that Snyder's penchant for careful and stable framing and composition was absent? Take the first scene, the party scene: it's got a loose, handheld style. Seriously, look at the party scene again. It looks Nolan/Pfistere-sque.

I am surprised. Given that Larry Fong, Watchmen cinematographer is back, I was expecting a more classical style of shooting.

Not sure what to make of Lex or Doomsday.

I dig the voice of Batman. Robotic and Demonic but clearer than Bale's.

I loved the "that son of a ***** brought the war to us" line.
