haha I remember this. It's been so long! The marketing for this movie is still unmatched.
Never seen this before, but I wish I had! Such a good job promoting and marketing this back in 2007/2008.
I've never experienced a buzz quite like the TDK marketing. Even on these forums alone it was magic. Like practically everyone, even some of the Mods were getting involved in it. It was epic. Words cannot describe.
I don't think we'll ever experience anything quite like it again with a CBM.
I was a poster here back in 2006 under a different name and I remember how crazy this place was with the hype in 2007. Haha the phone number in sky is something I'll never forget and I just thought it was so awesome. I actually do remember calling it myself now that you mention it. I'm pretty sure G4 was covering that live haha. Also I didn't get any of the newspapers, but I followed everything.Back in those days I wasn't even a poster, but you bet your bottom dollar I was lurking this site every day to try to keep up with it. It was the only way I was able to really follow it because it was such a complex campaign. I STILL haven't really absorbed all the details of it to this day.
One of the things that really suck with me was the phone number that was revealed in skywriting over SDCC. I remember calling the number and hearing the hostage read The Joker's message, and then get blown away. It was legit unsettling. I had chills.
Still have my Gotham newspapers saved too.
Yeah, that whole experience won't ever be recreated.

Anybody remember the rotting pumpkin in fall of 2007?

Rorys first kissWho could forget Rory the Pumpkin?!![]()

When that second pic dropped, I was literally speechlessThe hype for TDK was unreal, really. Since it's first blurry pics, like this

I was already freaking out. And then, came the first official Joker pic.

(still disturbing today).
Bringing this track back because it was always one of my favorites and one of the most emotional for me.

Seeing a lot of slander for these films on cbm twitter lately. It's a damn shame.

I must admit, after Rises I was Nolan'd out. I loved Begins, I struggled with TDK and I liked Rises. I loved Bale but hated the voice and suit. I wanted something more "comic accurate" in every sense.
After being thoroughly disappointed with the Snyder fare I found myself on youtube watching clip after clip of the trilogy and my god, you really don't know how good something is until it's gone. I still don't love TDK, it's no contrarion rubbish or anything, I can objectively see and agree with all things it gets praised for, I just don't connect with it like I do the other 2, but if you gave me a choice between the bvs warehouse scene or the Prewitt siege, it's prewitt every day of the week, it's pure Batman, it's like something straight out of a comic, that thing I thought I wanted, I already had. Even something like Batman's first night back in TDKR, the bike chase, the lights going out, that score.... just magnificent.
Very true. And as I get older, I'm starting to witness that with lots of things. Don't get why people can't just love the new and the past as well. It's not that hard haha. There's a new Batman movie on the horizon. The cycle of trashing the old to make the new look superior is beginning.
The perfect Batman moment in the entire trilogy, IMO, and that's a hard choice.Twitter is largely a dumpster fire of bad faith takes, so there's that.
Prewitt scene is so good. Great escalation of stakes and obstacles being thrown at Batman throughout, a great payoff with him figuring out a badass (and non-lethal way) out of a jam. Classic Batman stuff. Love the score during that whole section too. I'd easily take it over the warehouse scene any day.
