Haha, oh man, those gifs remind of some of Skate's infamous glitches

IGN got to play around with Ryse and its safe to say they're not too impressed. They said it looks beautiful but plays clumsy and unresponsive.

Ah, the dangers of letting Graphics sell a game. People get sucked in by the pretty wrapping only to find out there's a big turd in the box. It's doubly true for launch titles.

Multiplayer in a non beat'em up hack and slash is going to be a hard sell. Has it ever worked? I'll wait for a single player review.

Yeah definitely wait for the single player. I could careless about the mp. plus ign haha they're awful

Just preordered XB1! I won't have much time to play it this year as I'm racing to finish all Xbox linked pc games before they shut down, but I'm quite happy to own it and a few multiplayer games that I can keep replaying (Battlefield 4, Fifa 14, Killer Instinct, maybe Forza 5 & Destiny). I'll pick up a couple of single player games... it'll be between AC4, Witcher 3, Dead Rising 3, Ryse & Watchdogs.

I think I want The Crew to be my driving game but I do want something at launch with replay value. Probably BF4.

I'm too used to Forza now. Love that game & I'm not getting more than 1 driving game at launch. BUt The Crew definitely looks interesting and innovative.

I don't think it's that surprising. It's been heavily rumored that they are having stock issues, which is possibly the unofficial reason they had to pull from some territories, to make up for it in the countries they are stronger in. Going before Sony would be two weeks of units that I think they really need.

It also still gives them a week before Black Friday to get a new shipment out there.

It's also the anniversary of the 360 release so maybe they got sentimental lol.

Well they could have done like Sony did and released in NA first on Nov 8 and then 2 weeks later on this Nov 22 date in EU. The issue of supply wouldnt have mattered as whats produced later would go to EU. They didnt have to launch on the same date but i guess they were intent on that for whatever reason

I'm sure they're well behind PS4 in EU at the moment.

Sony consistently does better than MS in EU with the PS3 so I dont see that changing with the PS4. EU really is what kept them from being a far third place this gen. Their numbers there are pretty solid and it isnt all about the US.

I don't have the numbers with me but I'd guess in NA Microsoft dominated. Probably 65%-35%. If Sony can pull that number even to a 55%-45% split, I think they'd be happy with that, considering how much more popular they are worldwide.

As for Black Friday, the consoles would still be 399 and 499 wouldn't they? There would be no deals on them this year right?

Maybe game/accessory bundles/discounts, but no the consoles won't be discounted. It's more about having a stock available on the biggest shopping day of the year.

From what I've heard, some outlets just reserve a portion of their launch stock specifically to save until Black Friday. If you can be the one store in town to guarantee a stock of PS4 and X1s, you'll get a lot more traffic.

I think the gap will get bigger in non UK Europe at launch. And on top of that obviously MS aren't going to do too well in those territories in which it's not even opening at launch lol.

hey guys. I've got a quick question I've had a rough time finding the answer to...hoping one of you might know the answer:

On the Xbox One there will be a first day install that will get rid of the "always online" functionality of the system. In order to download this update you'll need have online access to x-box live (correct me if I'm wrong). Here's where my question comes in...will you need to have paid for a month's worth of X-Box live in order to get online and download the update?

Have you ever needed to have Gold just for update downloads? I've never known of that. I'm pretty sure it's the same kind of thing, you won't need gold, just need to be connected to the internet at least that one time.
