Nice one! Tell me what you think of Sunset when you play it.

The console or just the game?

I'm definitely saving Sunset for Xmas.

I'll setup the console this weekend and test it out to make sure it works.

then, when DAI comes out, I'll make that the first game I play on my X1. been waiting for that game forever.

so, DAI has priority over Sunset, CoD, and the other games I'll get.

and hopefully, I can find some good deals on Halo, Forza Horizon, ACU, Diablo, and Tomb Raider this BF. probably won't get all of those. but definitely Halo.

Sounds good. DA:I looks awesome.

So I'm gonna get Sunset, H:MCC, and AC:U with the Buy2Get1 deal at Target. If there's a similar deal in the weeks after, I'll get FC4, COD:AW, and Evil Within. Plus I'm getting GTA5 and DA:I digitally. 8 games should last me a loooong time. I suspect I may not even finish them all before Witcher 3 comes out in February. I'm actually pretty interested in Lords of the Fallen but don't wanna have 2 RPGs cuz I know DA:I is gonna take a lot of time.

Sunset is amazing.. Takes some getting used to control wise but it's very good once you do.

sounds good!!

overall, how obscene/vulgar does it get with the language, jokes, imagery, etc.??

I heard there's a vulgarity filter you can turn on?

There's been some F bomb.. Which strikes me as surprising since the game has been so overly cartoon-ish. However yes, you can turn it off.. Which is a cool feature. I turn it off when my son wants to watch.

Also this game breaks the 4th wall just as hard as Deadpool.

Nice, what exactly is the gameplay like?

Oh that's weird. Cool that you can turn it off.

ah, thanks.

Take Ratchet and Clank.. Tony Hawk and Jet Set Radio... Throw them into a blender.. And there you go. IMHO the gameplay is really hard to describe other than saying that there's learning curve but once mastered extremely fun.

That does sound like a fun mix.

soooo........kind of bummed you only get about 754GB of available space with the 1TB hdd. figured it would be at least 850GB.

asked about the actual space on the Xbox forums, and someone confirmed the 754GB number. he said he thinks the OS reserves a % of the total space, not a hard number ( which I expected ).

did the math and it comes out to roughly the same.

362GB of 500GB is 72.4%. so 27.6% for the OS.

754GB of 1TB is 75.4%. or 24.6% for the OS.

so, roughly about the same. and actually slightly more space available on the 1TB model percentage wise.

still.......754GB is better than 362GB for the internal drive space...........lol.

I hate that too. We only care about FREE hard drive space, not internal crap!

well, from a marketing perspective, 1TB sounds a lot better on the box than 750GB.........lol.

Might as well call it 20TB and say 250Gb was reserved for internal systems and 19TB made up BS for marketing reasons.

its not BS marketing. They advertise 1TB in the console and that's exactly what is in there. There is no HDD out there that has 100% usable space. When formatted, a portion is always lost and that's before OS and permanent apps are added. That's pretty much how it is for pretty much every single device you ever purchase that has a HDD in it

yep.

it's just that I expected the OS to take up a fixed amount of space. since it was about 140GB on the 500GB model, I figured there'd be at least 860GB available on the 1TB model.

so, I was a little surprised and disappointed when I heard 754GB.

but, percentage wise, it's about equal. and 2 x 360GB = 720GB. so, with 754GB, you're still getting technically 2x the available space compared to the 540GB model.

so, I'm not really complaining.......lol.

ALL HDD's do that. My 4TB external that I just bought was really closer to around 3.8 TB's. Thats not a new concept at all.

But you aren't taking into account the amount that is lost upon formatting. That will vary but its typically about 7-10% on average. So before anything is installed on the HDD, there theoretically was about 900-930gb available

so it's the combo of formatting plus OS files that brings the available space to 754GB?
