Its the only console for you, based on what you talk about are important features, the media features nonsense and the whole all in one thing. You just don't seem to want to accept it for whatever reason. I mean im not saying you have to have an Xbox, its just funny as hell when you talk about all the features that you like in a console, which the Xbox has then say, but its not the console for me. Haha thats pretty funny.
which is the cruel irony.........lol.
if I didn't already have the PS4, and I was looking to get my first new gen console, I'd probably lean towards the X1, cuz it does have more of the media features that I want and I do like the future MS "ecosystem."
That being said, hearing a game like Street Fighter V being PS4 exclusive would give me reason to lean towards the PS4. And right now, there is no equivalent "big name" franchise I want to play that's X1 exclusive.
and since I already have a PS4, there's less of a need to have both systems ( as you have pointed out before, too, lol ).
and right now, the biggest issue with the X1 for me is the long install times. it might not sound like a big deal, but when you have to wait close to
4 hours for a game like WWE 2K15 to be "ready to play," and when it installs on the PS4 and is ready to play in 2-4 minutes ( just like pretty much every other PS4 game ), that's a HUGE DIFFERENCE.
DAI was more reasonable at around 15 minutes before being ready to play. but, still, that's about 5 times longer than the PS4 install time. and since there seemed to be no uniformity for game install times ( unlike the PS4 ), who knows how long other games will take to install.....
And that was probably the single biggest reason why I opted to just return my noisy X1 instead of exchanging it for another one. Why keep a "less efficient" machine when I already have a "more efficient" one?
It's like, you're comparing two printing machines. One machine has more robust features and more functionality, but it takes forever to print out a document. The other machine has less features, but it prints out that document lightning fast. If, at the end of the day, you mainly use the machine to print stuff, then you're going to go with the one that can print faster, even if it lacks the other features.
That was my reasoning. May not make sense to others, but it made sense to me.......lol.
So, the main issue they have to address before I even can consider the X1 again is to fix and shorten those install times. Until I hear that "hurdle" is cleared, then the X1 is not something I want right now.
and, of course, if the PS4 ever does add more robust media features, then I'd have even less need to get an X1.
