Well, of course you're aware that you're not reporting facts, but just stating your opinion, right? Because I think the Iron Man series peaked at part three, with the first one still being an exceptional start.

Posted this in the all things topic but I'm reposting it here too, for those who may be avoiding that one:

So with the critics choice being at 88/100 right now with 12 known votes (remember, it started with 100/100), I decided, just for fun, to do a little simple math.

The known votes go like this:

4x90
4x80
3x70
1x60

Which adds up to an average of: 79.166666666667

Now if we want to take those votes/scores into account and go from 79.166666666667 to a round 88 as it actually is then the votes are currently this:

8x100
9x90
4x80
3x70
1x60

Which does indeed add up to a round 88 with 25 votes so far (and again remember, it was 100/100 for the first day or two).

Bare in mind, during TDKR review period, we found out that some critics in the critics choice just put a placeholder score before they see the actual movie as confirmed by one guy who gave it a 100. (yeh it makes no sense to me either)

Point is, even though it's all we have right now, it's not really too reliable in it's early days.

Sure, it's just fun to track this before we start getting the real deal on Monday. But I consider even the known 12 votes a good sign since 2 thirds of the votes are very positive (80 and 90 is great IMO) and only one is negative (I consider 60 in the case of MOS as a negative score). Similar ratio to the twitter/fb response from this weeks screenings.

Zach Snyder's Man of Steel not only manages to successfully reboot the Superman series, but it manages to make The Avengers and Avatar look like a child's play toy in comparison. Now that we've seen what big, modern Superman action looks like, hopefully the second film will spend more time fleshing out its characters, particularly Clark, and less with suits punching each other. Just like Batman Begins and The Dark Knight before it, Man of Steel is a great introduction that understands the appeal of its titular character and is headed towards becoming legendary.

Another example of a positive RT score, but when you read the review it pretty much slams the movie and gives maybe 2 positive lines and that is Drew McWeeny's review on RT for World War Z. He gives it a C+. That is why RT is always going to be flawed.

Yes he did I expect nothing lower than an A- from Drew for Man of Steel come Monday. Same goes for many others who have hinted at a good review. Slashfilm, Collider naming a couple. Also 3 more reactions (Monday I stop with reactions and I will post actual critic reviews/scores!!!)

This makes sense.

It will be interesting to see how they would flesh out Clark's character in a sequel beyond the origin story.

I would be shocked at this point if the general public didn't eat this movie up. Tons of action, pretty good story, Superman. Seems like the critics will be giving it decent reviews. I Expect at least a 75% on RT and no worse than that.

I think it'll land solidly in the 80s after the dust settles.

The GA will eat it up. I think it'll convert a lot of non-believers once the word of mouth starts going about the action.

SR was 76% but this just looks so much more massive in scale.. Everything about this movie feels bigger and better..

Well the reviewer actually chooses whether the review is classified as rotten or fresh, if i can recall correctly. That's why you have the average rating.

Yeah, the action is #1 out of any CBM you've seen.

Exactly. It relieves me that we'll get a little slow down in the middle half. We all know the action is extreme so it's good to see the story slow down before the KABOOMS!

I don't know why people say that.. I thought any of the Transformers had far, far more action... and better too... (unless of course, Transformers is not considered since it's not superhero...)... not that transformers is good, script wise.. but judging just purely on 'action'... it definitely beats out Avengers... I actually thought Avengers' action sequences are just as bad as transformers.. just a bunch of people jumping/flying around all over the place... not very well plotted out at all.. it's all just a blur... they should learn from Peter Jackson's LOTR.. in terms of building up the battles, small, bigger, bigger still, HUge ASS... and then some..
