The film going public is gonna eat this up. MoS is gonna be HUGE.

At this point the RT score can go way up or way down and still come back to the point it's at now. It will take a few days for enough reviews to come in to give us an idea of the final score and about a week or two before it's all said and done. However, I'm expecting something in the BB range, maybe a bit lower. 80-85% with 7.0-7.5. Hopefully.

The RT rating keeps going up its at 84% and 7.8/10 I'm calling it a night. Hopefully in a few hours there'll be more reviews. I think this thing will get to 85-89% within 6 hours or more.

Also FWIW, BoxOffice.com trailer views for MoS just bumped up 1.1 million views within a few hours. It is spreading like wildfire.

Whay impact does ebert's death recently has on the reviews?
Was he replaced?

I like the great reviewer from craveonline who just wrote. "Whatever.." As her main review summary/caption. That piece of **** review gets counted? Again i know bad reviews for this film are bound to come in but some of these people should really put in some effort. Critics should also be evaluated in terms of how good or **** they are too

Reviewers who have a proven track record or being extremely biased should be removed from RT. For example, if a reviewer give a movie a failing score just because it's not politically correct, or that it does not have enough jokes, or that it's this genre, or that genre, or just because they don't like such and such directors, etc...

His MoS one-word summary was a precedent for him, looking at his history.

Websites are unlikely to censor him for an isolated incident after a successful reviewing career. It was kinda our job to criticize him. Which people did, in the comment section of the main review.

This is why I don't count RT scores as much as average scores, some people genuinely have problems with the film and thats fine, others just seem to be almost hyperbolic with their hatred, almost to the point where you wonder if they walked in knowing they were going to hate it. There are going to be far more reviewers like that, I'm more interested in the problems that the people who liked it had with the film.

It's still very early.

The rating could fall anywhere between 70 and 90%.

I'm still hoping for 85+.

What average scores are you referring to?

The RT 1-10 point system?

I said the same thing on another thread. I dont see how her review even counted. I cant even take her thoughts seriously

One of the rotten reviews gave MOS a 4/10 and movie 43 a 5. C'mon now

Went down to 76% quickly. Not that it really matters to me; everyone's going to be able to judge on their own once this hits theaters!

RT used to have 'comments' for the reviewer's reviews.. where is that now? did they take that out?

Yes and its good that they did because the bad far outweighed the good.

About 7am EST so it seems the editor or whomever is getting to work adding in all these reviews that were released last night. 72%

Her review was actually a 'second opinion' piece. The guy who wrote the other opinion doesn't seem to have his listed on RT, and he loved the hell out of MOS.

I'm not someone who bashes critics just because I don't agree with their opinion. If they didn't like MOS and can give VALID reasons for their criticism, written in a professional manner (such as - poor pacing, plot holes, casting/acting issues, etc) then I can totally respect that.

But I really can't take that critic who wrote 'whatever' seriously - the entire piece is a critique of why MOS is not the Donner version of Superman. As a review, it misses the point entirely. Did Batman Begins get lambasted for not being Burton's version? Perhaps by one or two idiots, but by and large most people saw that it was a new and fresh take on the Batman franchise. I hope most people can see that MOS is taking the same approach.

Nah, still 76%

EDIT: 72% now
This ending up in the 70% range is still a big accomplishment. It's still Zack Snyder after all, even with a huge push by Christopher Nolan.

Naw. No, it's really not. It's the 80's or bust.
