Do we have to wait until Friday before RT starts posting reviews?
Nope. Just til later tonight.

No thanks... It's an origin story about Kal-El becoming Superman. I do not want to watch a superman origin movie to see love drama on how Louse and Superman are destine to love each other. I rather that be explore more in the sequel.HAHA.. sorry about that.. my english isn't very good.. i can ramble on and not make much sense...
I am not sure if i even know how to say what i want to say here because it's a complex thing...
Ok, I'll try again... maybe with an example..
From what we know, MOS is about mainly Superman, his self discovery, what people think of him when he's discovered, where he came from, etc.. now, that really just translate to a 'documentary'...
In order for people to 'care', you need to insert 'love'... which is human's greatest desire... so, for example, instead of all that 'origin', or concentrating on so many different characters, the entire story, if written in such a way as a love story between Lois and Clark, and there's a danger to their relationship... and everything else is just the backdrop (the cgi, the special effects, the backstory, etc), then that would capture the heart of all audiences... that's why Cameron's movies (thought have simple scripts) appeal to so many across the board.. becuase all of them are actually, if you break them down, just a love story... from Terminator to Titanic to Avatar...
So, here's some examples..
Instead of a scene of young clark being bullied, why not a young clark being picked on, and a younger Lois coming to his rescue.. and throughout his journey into adulthood, the two lives are inter-mingled, but neither one of them know how important they'll be to each other.. maybe, start from a scene where the kents brought a 1.5 year old clark shopping, and there was a robbery, and baby clark foil the robbery, and inadvertently saved a baby lois.. etc.. all the way thru to his adulthood... that way, when they actually meet later in life, they'll have a whole 'destiny, love' believable love angle... etc...

I gotta strongly disagree with you. I find the idea that love not only needs to be in the movie but the major plot point is... well... flawed. Plenty of great films don't have any "love" in them and are still great. As for MoS, the love story should be secondary; the development of Clark to Superman is far more important that the love story between Lois and Supes.
It's not spoilery

ohh I wonder who's gonna be the first rotten review
Nope. Just til later tonight.
I would place my bet on Rex Reed, I don't think he has given a positive review for a Nolan movie yet (I know MoS is Snyder, but the Nolan name is also prominent)
I should really be impressed by Shannon in this since I've only really seen him in Let's Go To Prison (What a delightful force of nature, serendipity). Not exactly a role that required Oscar caliber acting.
Hey guys, I'm seeing the movie tonight! I'll let you guys know what I think. Although keep in mind, my first impressions tonight will be coming from Compi716 the Superman fan, the purist, the man who lives and breaths comicbooks. I'll only be able to formulate a serious critical analysis after I see MOS for the second time Thursday night.
I completely agree with you.HAHA.. sorry about that.. my english isn't very good.. i can ramble on and not make much sense...

btw: Love between a man/women is just one thing.. that's just an example... in Aliens, it's about Ripley and the Little Girl... that's powerful too... there needs to be powerful connection between people that tugs at the heartstring... it could be brothers, father and son, family, etc...
And my main point is 'Snyder is not great with that sort of thing'...
The first RT review is in. Not sure if there are spoilers but probably.

Alright guys, we can shut it down. One fresh review. 100% on the 'Tomatometer'.
