There taking points off because they didn't like it as much. I didn't see many critics take points off for Batman Begins because it was different to Burton's Batman. If anything they gave it points because they found Nolan's style to b better.

Once again, fanboys try to blame the Donnerverse for things that its not responsible for.

First SR failed cause of Donner, now this film is supposedly getting bad reviews because of Donner.

SR "failed" with the GA because it was a donner remake. It was a "hit" with the critics.

This film is seemingly failing with those same Critics, and has yet to do anything with the audience but drive up fandango charts.

Right?

Tonally
Both Burton and Nolans Batman were "dark" and "brooding" and devoid of a captivating timeless romance.

MoS and Donner-verse....seemingly have tonal differences on a grand scale.
I've yet to see it though.

^ When more BLOGGERS watch the movie, they can keep it above 60. Most of the film BLOGS I've seen praised the movie. So I expect the score to rise when it comes out, but not a ton.

Porche was the father of the Volkswagen Bug but you don't compare a Bug to a porche 911.

This film isn't the donnerverse or even comparable to it. So any critic who takes points off this film for doing something different loses credibility in the review.

No, I don't think anybody ever has compared a Bug to a Porsche.....but I'm having trouble seeing the logic there.

We're talking old Superman and new Superman, not entirely different cars. did you seriously think nobody would be comparing these movies just because they had different directors and are set in different universes? You're joking, right?

I haven't read any reviews that flat out dismiss this movie because of the Donnerverse. I've seen plenty that compare the good/bad of it to STM. I think people are missing that. It IS being reviewed on its own merits. And also compared to what came before. You can do both.

i agree but it looks like some critics ( not all of them) dont like this movie because its "too serious" . They think a comic book movie has to have some funny scenes in it and movies like Ironman with their one liner jokes dont help to get this thinking out of their heads.

just look at IM3. They made a joke out of mandarin to get quick laughs.

With all these goofy movies i`m happy there is Chris Nolan who doesnt use a comic book movie as a joke.

btw. i still like the marvel movies ( thor not so much) but the batman movies were a breath of fresh air

just watch the film yourselves guys... Seriously i used to obsess over Rottentomatoes rating, given that they don't add many reviews, they are biased towards some and they even ADD in and REPEAT reviews to count towards negative or positive.

Like or dislike the film on your own terms. I just want them to make more, I enjoyed this film that much

Most of the fanboys on here for months were saying things like "Cavill is gonna be THE Superman, he's not skinny like Chris Reeve was" and "I think Amy will be better than any Lois that came before her, unlike margot kidder she will blah blah blah"
