Devin looking to get attention. Doesn't surprise me one bit. Of course there will be Critics that don't like this movie. I really don't care that much about what the critic thinks. I just want to Love this movie and for it to do well so we get more Superman. And from what I have seen and heard it sounds like the general public and Superman fans will LOVE it. Obviously we know some will not like it, three women posted 70 scores (2stars) on criticschoice. I am not sure if Devin has seen the movie. Most people have said or have heard outstanding things about this movie. After the general public saw it the last two days, There have been ALL positive reactions (maybe 1 or 2 bad in there). Our own SHH peeps said they LOVED it and that people in the theater LOVED it. TDKR had the same embargo. And there wasn't much in terms of tweets about it until 4 days before release. TDKR has a 78 metacritic, 87RT, Top 100 IMDB, and an A cinemascore. Devin may have heard some negative things as of late and is now questioning really how good this film is OR he wants attention and to freak out Superman fans, but more likely his true colors are shining through. or maybe he is just letting everyone know that there will be lots of negative reviews coming.

I have seen some critics say, I hate Zack Synder and have not liked any of his movies so I don't think I will like Man of Steel And went on to say I am not looking forward to Man of Steel or I don't think it will be better than Iron Man 3 - Claudia from USA TODAY and she said it will not be bigger than World War Z

He's going to love MOS.

I just bummed myself how by remembering that we won't get to hear what Ebert thinks of MOS... :csad:

Seeing as I've never heard of this guy, his opinion matters little to me.

To be fair - he wrote one of the first, and best, scathing deconstructions of Twilight.

For that, he's earned a little clout.

Just because he can do simple arithmetic doesn't make him Albert Einstein...

TERA PATRICK ‏@TERA1PATRICK 2h
My @tonymech and I at the #Manofsteel premier screening last night:)) I'm so proud of him and the Movie is AMAZING!!!

Yet another good reaction, which seems like 90 percent of all reactions

Haha He's just the guy who had to watch the other kids play kick ball even when the teams were uneven. Not because he was picked on or because he sucked but because he would quit before the game even started because he was afraid he'd suck and the other kids would tease him. Then he would go around and talk about how much everyone else is horrible at kickball. lol That's what I think anyway. :woot:

True. But the general vile he had for that film has yet to be matched. Not to mention - while it's easy to be on the "Twilight Sucks" bandwagon these days - it was a touchy topic at first, you risked being trampled by millions of deluded, unbalanced obese women and 12 year old girls.

He had the balls to say what needed to be said when very few did.

I tend to disagree with the man most of the time - but sometimes he's right. And when he is - it's about as perfect as right can be.

What kind of professional critic refers to a film as

"A totally stupid movie"?
If a film is totally stupid, it doesn't matter how professional you are, you should describe it as such.

Not saying that Into Darkness is totally stupid, but let's not find reasons to discredit him just because it seems like he might not like a film we haven't seen.

If he's wrong, the film will speak for itself.

^ STID isn't everyone's cup of tea. And there WERE rushed elements of TDKR, and political commentary that looks promising, but doesn't really go anywhere. DESPITE those faults, TDKR is a good movie because of the Batman/Bane interaction, the sense of intrigue, scale, and humanity, and JGL's performance, though I don't think he counts as
Robin
. It gets too much hate.

LOL, is that the pornstar Tera Patrick?

If so, I hope she gets to play Lois Lane in Manjuice of Steel.

Sorry, he's totally discredited in my book and my reasons were his reasons that he liked SM3 and thought STID was stupid. No one is finding reasons, he puts them out there for everyone to see. That is all.

Very sad, indeed. I've always enjoyed his reviews of comic book movies.

He seemed to be a fan of the genre, and always celebrated the high points of them, no matter what era. I'm sure he would have given MOS a glowing review, and if it is as good as it looks, he would have given it 4/4 stars :'(

I dunno. didn't look like it, although I think I saw something about cosplay (she did have 90,000 followers, so might be)

Referring to a film as

"A totally stupid movie" is a very childish and immature way of phrasing one's opinion especially for a critic that is being paid for theirs. He didn't exactly reach for his thesaurus on that one..

Yep. I agree on that point. Critics should use complex language and thought processes when dissecting a movie piece by piece.

Would you balk at calling Michael Bay's Transformers movies "totally stupid"?
