Man of Steel verdict: kinda hit and miss.

I got to go see an early showing of Man Of Steel. I thought I was a great/fun movie. I would recommend highly to anyone.

Oh geeze. This is putting me on the spot...haha

Currently, I think it barely makes the top five....with a second viewing it may get that number five spot...but then again this is also coming from someone who can't give you a proper order on where the placement lies regarding my top five. I do know that TDK and Batman Begins are one and two respectively.

Top five sounds pretty good to me! :yay: After all, I can't expect everyone to love this film. I'm more worried by people who say that they hated it, or that it's as bad as Green Lantern... *shudders*

Is it the same kind of disappointment many of us felt when we first saw SR? In fact how would you compare MOS to SR? Is MOS way better or not so much? :whatever:

Oh it's FARRRRR better than SR. To me, SR is just a glorified fan film set in Donner's universe without giving Superman fans something new to chew on.

This has a lot more Superman-esque qualities that I know fans like me and you guys are going to just squeal with excitement.

I think this problem is some writing and flow issues...and I don't want to get into spoilers but like in The Dark Knight Rises...there were character moments that bothered me. =/

Without giving anything away do you think MOS laid out the right foundation for an even better sequel like BB to TDK?

Oh dear god no...I remember saying "I HATED IT!" to a friend outside the theater when I saw GL. That movie is garbage.

Green Lantern has made Game of Thrones the second most depressing thing that's been on HBO in the last week.

MAN OF STEEL WAS AMAZING!!! DEFINITELY THE BEST SUPER-MAN MOVIE TO DATE!

I saw the re-run of the latest episode. Holy ****, I still can't believe. As someone who read the books and saw it coming, I still couldn't even believe that happened.

How was the music?

There's so much going on in the film, nothing from the score stood out to me. That piano motif that's been used in the trailers seemed to happen a lot....which is nice.

But unlike, TDK or even BB...I didn't feel myself the score added anything to the movie.

MAN OF STEEL WAS SOOOOOO GOOOOOOOD. Henry Cavill is the perfect Clent Clark/Superman.

Man of Steel was absolutely amazing.

Oh for sure, in fact...I'd say there NEEDS to be a sequel just to see where you can go in this world they've created. If you're mirroring Batman Begins to Man of Steel, I can totally see a connection in the idea that a MOS 2 would be a great successor to what came before...

...my thing is I saw more problems with MOS than I did with BB.

Man of Steel was terrific!!

Nolan has a special touch w/ comic movies.

LOL

2 super sized thumbs up for Man of Steel. Very well done.

They might have over-used the score in TDKR a little but that was the only one of Nolan's Batman that it stood out for me. I didn't get much from the music in BB and TDK.. I mostly thought it was weak compared to Elfman's stuff for Batman 89..

^ Fixed, Nolan has a special touch with movies. Zack has a SPECIAL touch with COMIC book movies ;)

BB is for you Art what MoS probably will be for me (fingers crossed).

OMG this might keep Snyder off the sequel.. "Let Nolan make it WB that's all they care about"..

Can you go into a little more detail about these perceived problems? Pretty please? :yay:
