I don't expect to see any actual physical change with the Venom use.

There are millions of Bane's in our society, many can be found at local gyms and chances are Tom Hardy is one of them. You can't tell me he isn't using any growth hormones in real life. If anything it's unrealistic (due to Hardy's massive size) to pretend he's not using anything to boost himself. He doesn't have to hook tubes to his brain, he can inject himself a number of times on a regular basis.

If we're picking a muscle bound wrestler with no regards to talent (not that I think Dwayne Johnson has no talent) Batista is probably the best fit. Massive, roid addled guy (6'5" 280) of hispanic decent.

But yeah, I'll sacrifice Hardy being small for his acting. I have faith that even if it's not a venom pumping comic Bane, we'll get something really interesting and cool.

Since when is 5'10 considered short? I think 5'9 is the average male height in America. Either way, the right boots will boost Hardy right up there. Plus, he is ripped in that newest pic.

I'm just really curious how he is going to look. Nolan's Joker was just brilliant from a design perspective. He is fascinating to just look at. Bane doesn't have that same advantage, but I'm sure Nolan will take creative liberties with the visual appearance.

After a Google search many websites reported the image (the first image of the Joker's face) back in May 21st, 2007 however The Dark Knight began filming much earlier in the year.

I don't think we will see an actual transformation when he uses the Venom, like we do in the comics.

I just don't see the use of Venom being portrayed in that way.

In the comics he turns the Venom on, he gets visibly bigger instantly. I don't think that is what will happen in the movie. Like I said, i picture it being as more of an adrenaline boost, making him faster, more durable and perhaps giving him some kinda blood lust where he can ignore pain and injuries etc.

And why do you keep going on about roids? Do you use them and are trying to validate yourself? I couldn't care less about it honestly. People can damage their bodies all they want as long as it doesn't effect me.

Great. However in my head I picture Bane using the venom but not necessarily connecting tubes to his head. I picture his physique already established in the beginning of the film from using it throughout a period of time and keeps using it to maintain his size, rather than instantly transforming or instantly decreasing in size. Like I stated, we have real drugs in our society that can boost one's adrenaline & make them faster (like you said) but also make them bigger. It's very appropriate for the Bane character in the film and it's realistic.

lol u mad or just over defensive? I think your loyalty for an actor is getting the best of you because I never stated it as if it's a bad thing.

If you don't agree then so be it. It's called stating your opinions. Until the movie comes out, there's no right or wrong answer. Like someone said, Nolan used a microwave and fear toxin (both were made up for BB) so I believe it's possible something could be used for Bane.

Yes i understand that. What i mean is, I wouldn't be expecting Bane to "hulk out" in this movie like in the comics or cartoons or whatever.

Me either, and as I mentioned previously, using Steroids as some sort of Venom substitute isn't really the same thing because Venom had an instantaneous effect, whereas Steroids without proper diet, training & hard work over a period of time only leaves you with acne and gynecomastia, regardless of what Senate Hearings would lead you to believe.
