The Dark Knight Rises Top 3 Favorite Scenes From The Dark Knight Trilogy

BB: Gordon and Batman's rooftop meeting --Gordon: "I never said thank you." Batman: And you'll never have to."
TDK: Joker and the mob--"If you're good at something, never do it for free."
TDKR: Bane's speech--"You have been supplied with a false idol to stop you from tearing down this corrupt city!"

The interrogation scene-TDK
Batman v. Bane-TDKR
Bruce and Selina ballroom scene.-TDKR

runner ups-Talia reveal, Batman's first encounter with Scarecrow, Catwoman at Daggett's penthouse, Joker at the hospital, TDKR finale, Batman begins tumbler chase, TDK climax (Joker v. Batman and Two-Face confrontation).

BB: Final scene between Gordon/Bats.
TDK: Final scene between Gordon/Bats.
TDKR: Alfred's graveyard apology to Bruce's parents.

I'll pick one from each movie:

Batman Begins: The escape from Arkham. Batman jumping down amongst the bats with the main theme playing as he opens his cape. Running through the hallway with Bats flying around, with the two prisoners looking at him with interest from inside their cells. Powerful. The imagery pretty much makes this scene for me, it's so batmany. The music is beautiful, it's my favourite piece in the entire film.

Runner up -Right after Batman repeats the line back to Rachel, he flies over the streets and people see a horrific version of him. My favourite part is Ra's Al Ghul and the other members of the league hearing the shrieks and screams of the people of Gotham grow lowder and turn, eventually to see Batman fly in.

The Dark Knight - The Final Sequence with Two-Face. Intense, emotionally trying, has some of the best acting from the entire film, and is a great conclusion to the movie. Aaron Eckhart gets the shaft a lot, but I thought this scene proved that he did just as good as Heath. JUST as good. It's such a great scene.

Runner up - The twist on the classic Batman interrogation method (Batman actually throwing the guy [Sal] off the building).

The Dark Knight Rises: The fulfillment of the title. I think it's one of the alltime great scenes in cinema history now. A classic bit. And the bats? That just took the scene and made it 10x greater. Brilliant music, brilliant cinematography, wonderfully concieved. Well done, Chris Nolan.

Runner up - First Bane fight. Hard to pick with so many GREAT scenes in this movie. But I loved this scene, it was BRUTAL. The dialogue, the way it plays out with Bane criticizing every one of Batman's tactics. The most chilling part for me was Batman screaming in a mix of anger/exhaustion/pain as Bane loomed into frame.

The Dark Knight Riseslol I should have described mine a little more.: The fulfillment of the title. I think it's one of the alltime great scenes in cinema history now. A classic bit. And the bats? That just took the scene and made it 10x greater. Brilliant music, brilliant cinematography, wonderfully concieved. Well done, Chris Nolan.

a lot of great moments in TDKR imo, despite its overall problems and missed opportunities

Haha. That is why I made it a top 3. Tough decisions.

:argh:

Seriously, though...nice thread

3) Batman vs. Bane (underground/sewer fight) - absolutely brutal beatdown...no music is perfect...great all-around job of conveying how helpless Bruce is against Bane at this point in time.

2) Batman and Gordon (rooftop scene/Joker card reveal) - "A taste for the theatrical - like you," "I'll look into it," "I never said 'thank you,'" "and you'll never have to"...all great stuff...love it!

1) Joker interrogation scene - "Evening...Commissioner"..."depending on the time, he may be in one spot or several"..."the good cop, bad cop routine? Not exactly"... "and then you let Dent take your place...even to a guy like me, that's cold!"..."you...you complete me!"..."I'm not a monster...I'm just ahead of the curve!"..."you have nothing! nothing to threaten me with!"...the escalation of the Joker's theme as Batman loses control...just an absolutely brilliant scene!

Joker's back story scenes "You want to know how I got these scars?"

Fight in prison
"You're not the Devil, you're practice"
*Fight ensues, guards do their thing*
"Where are you taking me"
"Solitary"
"For what?"
"Protection"
"I don't need protection"
"Protection for them"
*Inmates in pain on ground*

The whole dock scene in Batman Begins, from Flass entering till Batman telling that guy "Nice coat" and leaving

Those are my 3 favorite scenes

1. Joker Interrogation scene TDK
2. Two-Face hostage scene TDK
3. The cross-cut sequence of Batman racing to save Rachel, Joker escaping from the MCU, Rachel dying and Bats finding Dent.

Yeah, it's pretty clear which I think is the best movie in the series. Though the other two also have great scenes.

1. Two-Face holding Gordon's family hostage. Still the most intense scene in the trilogy.
2. Ra's vs. Batman on the monorail
3. Selina Kyle caught stealing Martha Wayne's pearls...(subtle moment, but really great portrayal of Catwoman's playfulness against Bruce's more serious demeanor)

1.Joker Interrogation
2.TDKR ending(Battle plus passing the torch)
3.Dock scene in BB

1. Interrogation Scene
2. Sewer Fight
3. TDK Ending
-----------------------
4. TDKR Ending

Batman Begins
Tumblr police chase
Scarecrow kidnaps Rachel
Burning Wayne Manor

TDK
Judge Surillo and Commisioner Loeb's dead-Joker at the penthouse sequence
Boats scene
Dent's dead, Gordon's speech

TDKR
Selina's bar scene
Stock exchange-Police chase-Selina Kyle at Dagget's place-Bat sequence
Climbing at the pit after the prison doctor's speech

3.Bats vs Bane on the steps of city hall :brucebat:

2.So many good scenes in TDK it's tough to pick one,but the whole final fight between Joker & Batman just felt like classic stuff.:hoboj:

1.Batman/Gordon rooftop end."I never said thank you.""And you'll never have to":batty:

1.- Batman saying "It's not who I am underneath but what I do that defines me" to Rachel.
2.- Prologue from TDK and the end with Gordon speech.
3.- End of TDKR.

1.- Batman saying "It's not who I am underneath but what I do that defines me" to Rachel.
2.- Prologue from TDK and the end with Gordon speech.
3.- End of TDKR.

The bold is a line that really sums up the point of The Dark Knight Trilogy and ties into the end of TDKR. Never really thought of that 'till recently. In Nolan's series, Bruce Wayne being under the mask doesn't mean as much as anyone worthy enough to WEAR that mask and carry that symbol.

1. The Dark Knight: Interrogation Scene

2. The Dark Knight:Chase scene

3. Batman Begins: Bruce Discovers The Batcave

I tried to give one from each film, but for my money BB has the most iconic scenes.Bruce discovers the Batcave,Bruce creates the suit/"Bats frighten me...",Bruce & Alfred in the plane,Bats & Gordon,Bats & Flass Etc...

Batman Begins--Ra's vs Bruce sword fight on the ice.

The Dark Knight--The rapid crosscut where Joker escapes, Rachel dies, and Harvey is scarred.

The Dark Knight Rises--Bane talking to Bruce after he brought him to the Pit. There was a shot of Bane in profile at an angle (us from Bruce's perspective) that made the tubes on the mask look like crooked jaws.
