That is pretty far away and things could change; Episode VIII was pushed from May to December so things are still pretty fluid. Right now it looks like the next main X-Men installment is tentatively scheduled for July 13, 2018 (since I'm assuming FF is well and truly dead).
Regardless, I don't think it really matters that much for the box office prospects. If anything, it might help since it will get X-Men away from the MCU movies that always kick off May (although that July 13 date is just a week after Ant-Man and the Wasp).
Those are all still recasts. You also forgot Sabretooth and Gambit
any and everyone is replaceable
lol and Kitty has been recast....twice!
Those aren't recasts... you know the younger version/older version were once upon a time appeared in the same movie, way back in 2014.
While Sabretooth could easily be connected to X1 Sabretooth if they wanted to.
And Taylor Kitsch's Gambit is never that popular as Hugh's Wolverine and has only appeared in 1 movie.
So you are excluding Mystique? Because Kelsey/Ian/Patrick were in the 2014 X-Men movie. Rebecca Romijn also appeared in first class in a cameo role. It wasn't a recast. They cast a younger version. And it was already explained that she ages slowly but not like the Wolverine. Its a recast when you have someone playing a role played by someone. Even if IA with what you are saying, they could have had Rebecca Romijin as Mystique, given the nature of her powers but they chose to go with a different actress. Thats a recast and she wasnt played by her "older" version back in 2014.
Casting a younger version to take the lead in the series is a recast. That they gave Romijn a cameo doesn't change that.It wasn't a recast. They cast a younger version.
So Indiana Jones was recast before when they did the TV series?... nope. They cast a younger version. Unless they show Mystique in the present times and its Jennifer Lawrence thats playing her, okay.

I hope I'm wrong. I hope I'm blown away and it somehow gets to a billion ww and 400 domestic...but I'm not sure I will be.
I def. don't think this makes 400 domestic. I don't even see this outgrossing DOFP.

BvS still is doing well at 800 million that's really good, I'm unsure why some call it a flop that's nearly a billion. I hope this movie shuts down naysayers that say that it can't succeed.

According to reports, $800 million to $925 million is the break-even for the film and Bvs is already released in China/Japan.
I just think a lot of people expected it to hit $1 billion especially given its lack of big competition in its 1st three weeks, the last Batman movie earned $1 billion and its Superman/Batman appearing in the big screen for the first time.
They just need to improve the marketing. I don't think the marketing for this has been that good at all.
They have the name recognition, it seems like they have the spectacle type effects...stop holding back. Show character personalities, show something that says "Go see this in the theaters" because even as a big X-Men fan it hasn't really done that for me.
Not that many people are calling it a flop but if you read and research you can see why the 800 mill is dissappointing, but that's another thread
For most other movies 800 mill is great.
But for a movie that cost reportedly 250 mill before marketing that's not good.
Remember studios don't get 100% of the box office receipts
