However instead of that, they decide to have her out of make-up most of the movie. Which I am certain is as much of marketing decision from the higher-ups at Fox than Jennifer herself. There's a reason why they don't even bother giving her red hair in the "normal look" scenes. She's 100% identifiable as JLaw.

What's that? Motion capture you say? Nah. I will just have Lawrence and Hoult be Lawrence and Hoult.

Sorry Isaac. You still have to be blue the whole way through though.

Annoyingly, this got dragged back onto the topic of JLaw and her make-up when as it was brought up, it was linked to the far more interesting point about the large female audience interested in this franchise that she, in part, played a role in bringing in and how that audience may be more inclined to check out Alice this week.
It will be interesting to see which females pick, especially with the emphasis on Lawrence in the Apocalypse marketing.

I dread to think what Apocalypse's look would have been like had they known Isaac would be the breakout star of Star Wars... :cwink:

Purple Ronin. God, get your colors right. :o

X-Men won't be able to compete with the family female demo Disney brings in. Don't think they have much interest in X-Men anyways with or without Lawrence. But the majority of teens and early 20 somethings will be seeing X-Men.

True. I will be curious to see how close it is. I wonder if tickets will be up over last year or year before overall for the weekend.

You misspelled Daisy. :o

Yeah, was wondering that as well. At the least it's gotta be stronger then last years memorial weekend. Wasn't Tomorrowland and Poltergeist pretty much it?

The MCU offers plenty of hot men acting all (super)heroic and friendly and dreamy and treating the women around them with respect.

That definitely sounds like something many women would be interested in. :o

Very true lol.

I think you are right. If I remember correctly last year's Memorial Day Weekend was really poor. Maybe the worst in years, but I am not sure.

Id be more interested in seeing the box office record for the second week of release

Well it should lose the kids. Kids love them some Ninja Turtles.

Fox is officially reporting the budget at 178 million. Lol...

Damn, damage control has already started. :funny:

I'm surprised they reported anything. I've noticed on Box Office Mojo that studios generally report the budget after opening weekend, and if the film underperforms nothing usually gets reported. Neighbors 2 is a current example.

It is a little different with tentpoles. They kind of have to say something, but yeah it is a bit of a surprise. Maybe they have a number in mind for what their basement is, and are comfortable with it.

I am highly skeptical. DOFP had a budget of 200M. Even with cutting all the old trilogy actors, I seriously doubt the movie would be cheaper with all the disaster porn CGI. Especially since they grabbed a couple new actors who already have rising reps ( Sophie Turner, Oscar Isaac ), so they probably weren't that cheap.

While I don't for a second believe the budget is under 200m, I can almost guarantee the new cast was incredibly cheap.

I buy it, having seen the film. The cast is much cheaper compared to DoFP.
