This is truth to the fullest.Ah ok. But yeah, it kinds of urks me when you get labels for speaking what is blatantly apparent. I don't think anyone would want the X-men to fail if they were treated with respect to the material. I think this time it may have been but I think the MCU has us all spoiled to a degree.
Which is why he kept pointing out see is a woman.I got more of a discrimination against rich people, myself.

Progressive to make the movie. Not so progressive to make a potentially very bad movie.Ghostbusters 2016 is so progressive. They're all women, even the obnoxious black stereotype character.

Which is exactly why you struck out at a woman trying to be comfortable in her work environment.yeah right, because gender inequality is not linked to class inequality...

The box office will crumble when all those crappy girls go and see Alice instead of this monument to mankind. Can we just talk about how women suck? and how its their fault for everything!
Hey, we have no idea what Hoult had to paint. Same for the various Nightcrawlers. And don't get me started on Oscar.Men in this franchise haven't had to paint their ***** blue to get millions. When fans complain that Lawrence is acting "entitled" maybe they should consider what she's entitled to. If class privilege somehow absolves this sexism maybe those fans should put their energies into complaining that all Hollywood movie stars get paid far too much.

Until I see their blue ***** my stance won't changeHey, we have no idea what Hoult had to paint. Same for the various Nightcrawlers. And don't get me started on Oscar.![]()
Please don't give them anymore ideas.Until I see their blue ***** my stance won't change
They'd be CGIed.Please don't give them anymore ideas.![]()
You could see a lot of problematic logics at work with how the original Mystique was constructed and how some fans treat Lawrence today. It isn't hard to imagine the people responsible for making Mystique naked in the first place wanted her to be sexy and cast Rebecca for her body. The movie absolves itself somewhat with that (one) really powerful line she had in X1 and the idea we get that her naked blue mutant body is a huge protest to human normality. The fact that her scales form clothing when she shape-shifts develops the logic of her design. Still you would never see a male character constructed with the same reasoning or a woman that didn't look like Rebecca. We know from Rebecca herself that the painting process was hell and had negative side effects. Rebecca had no star power so not much was changed about the process (this usually gets interpreted as "commitment" by fans).
Fast forward to First Class hiring Jennifer Lawrence, an up and coming actress who of course wouldn't turn down a big role in a big franchise, even if it means a difficult make-up process. Her allergic reaction to the paint combined with the star power Rebecca never had forced DOFP to build a skin tight suit that worked well (imo). Seeing a lot of "Raven" in the trailers for Apocalypse has caused a considerable amount of fans to label Lawrence as not committed and ruining the character. Lawrence doesn't have the modelling training that Rebecca had which probably made her more used to enduring "hell", but I'm sure even Rebecca would change the process if she could. Lawrence resisting a very invasive make-up process that causes an allergic reaction has been taken up by some fans as a point of criticism, which is utterly bizarre. Not a single male cast member has to endure a process that invasive, but when a woman speaks out against it she is demonized.
That's all I have to say on this annoying reoccurring topic.

The MCU offers plenty of hot men acting all (super)heroic and friendly and dreamy and treating the women around them with respect.Hmm, would be interesting to see what factors attract the demographic most.

There is such an easy solution to Lawrence's chagrins about long make up hours, body invasion, peeing blue etc. It's called motion capture.
But singer seems to have something against that.
They are good, fun movies as well. Women like those too.The MCU offers plenty of hot men acting all (super)heroic and friendly and dreamy and treating the women around them with respect.
That definitely sounds like something many women would be interested in.![]()
