Ok, look at Storm/s grades, what it says

I seriouslly don't know what's up with all those MCU references lately. Even the Spider-Man and SHIELD on that Xavier school book. And The Raft prison in Deadpool. I have no idea ...
and yet, here are Marvel, not allowed to use the word "mutant". When even the ninja turtles can have it on their movie ....

Don't think its a problem,as long as the MCU references are not in the films themselves.
Its just a fun nod to the comics that's all.

What about that School book?

Yeah, there are Spider-Man and SHIELD and SWORD directly mentioned.
No idea what's going on ...

Sooo ... I guess it's no problem for the MCU to use the word "mutant". But they haven't and they can't. Heck, I remember reading about FOX suing Marvel for the Mutant X tv show.

As long as they don't use the word mutant in the MCU films and live action shows, its all good. What happened with Mutant x tv show is a warning of what will happen if they do.

Fox has to be involved for the M word to be used, like we saw in the Legion trailer.

But Marvel can't be involved with the use of "Wakanda", "SHIELD", "Spider-Man", "The Raft", etc ...
Okey ... weird, but okay

Those list of things did not appear or mentioned in the actual FOX films. Its no big deal.

They can use the word mutant. It's a normal word in the dictionary, that's not copyrighted. It's the context that determines if they can't. The context most think of being a powered individual. Marvel can't use that concept with its chatacters origins

Nothing particularly exciting but a quote from kodi about the X-Men: Apocalypse ending

They kind of mended some things that didn't make sense with this timeline, but also they've completely left it to us, very obviously. We're in the Danger Room and the door opens up and we're all in our comic book-accurate costumes. I think it's kind of teasing the audience to be a little excited for something to come. I only have the same judgment as the audience does. I'm hoping

I thought Apocalypse was kind of mediocre and forgettable. I'm not a huge singer fan, but I loved DOFP so I was pretty bummed with how this movie turned out.

I will agree the movie is forgettable and a huge step down for the franchise. But seeing it again it does have a few moments that really work well: the death of Magneto's family, the missile/Beethoven scene, the Quicksilver scene, Phoenix at the end, the Danger Room. I would even include the mall scene if it wasn't (sigh) cut out.

There was a really good movie in here somewhere, it just needed a better writer to structure it out and find it.

I would have left the mall scene in and cut other stuff.

Plus, if ANYONE says "let's go to the mall", it should ALWAYS be instigated and pushed through by Jubilee of all characters.

Timetravel in DOFP erased the original trilogy as well as anything set from 1973 on of both origins and the wolverine.

based on both singer and kinberg some things will end up similar to original trilogy as we saw at end of DOFP but without Xavier, cyclops, and jean
suffering what they and audence went through with last stand lol

magneto and mystique are question marks now especilly since they were nowhere to be seen at end of DOFP.they can basicly do what they want with those characters assuming they want to bring back lawrence and fassbender.

they were kind of open about fact apocalypse was going to be more a sequel to first class.and yes dofp was the more epic film of this trilogy.

I really want to see x-men in present in a deadpool movie or another spin-off. Magneto Mystique and Pietro must be on their own.

I really doudt that.Apocalypse cast in another X-Men film or appearing in new mutants yes.X-force is probally set post Logan.the deadpool sequels are probally more about setting up X_force where deadpool will be a member
than bringing In X-Men Inless deadpool version of colossus appears again.

the original cast is done most likely with jackman and Stewart In Logan.

they may want to do X-Men in past and X-force in future to avoid them tripping
or conterdicting each other.

I know some want them to do like all new x-men and just transport the apocalypse cast to present to interact with deadpool but i find that dumb idea.plus it creates problem what happened to present day versions.

Deadpool took place only about 7 years before the future ending of DOFP.

The original cast is done until they appear in another X-Men film. Isn't that the case since X3? Yes.

I don't really see what good it would do to the X-Men movies set in the present, by limiting the films by not showing the X-Men. If we already got Colossus in Deadpool (who would have been played by Daniel Cudmore if only he agreed). I don't see how the future Deadpool movies or X-Force or a film with X-23 would not showcase the other X-Men from the previous films. Then you have the X-Men set in the past, that was in a film already underperformed at the box-office. So time will tell.

right now even another film with apocalypse cast is up In the air much less one with original cast.

after Logan hits in march the franchise films being worked on,inless Gambit suddenly comes out of limbo, are deadpool sequels,New mutants, and X-force.
Since Kinberg has siad Xavier is in new mutants and patrick stewart says logan is probaly his last X-Men related film it doesn't take a rocket scientist to conclude it is set in past with James Mcavoy playing Xavier.

the Colossus In deadpool arguement doesn't work.If daniel Cudmore had agreed to do it colossus still would have been in amrored form throughout the film and CUdmore's voice would have been replaced.

since last stand fox has really only cared about getting hugh jackman in films.he is out the door now.only reason original cast was brought back for DOFP was to boost GA intrest.it's the fast & furious effect.and Apocalypse Box office proves going back to first class cast would be like fast & furious going back to the Toyko Drift craft. It's clear domesticly the GA isn't as intrested In First class/apocalypse cast as they were In OT cast.

For those who say they should bring original cast back they have strong point.the problem is nothing we have seen from various regimes from fox suggests that is a realistic possibilty.and some only seem intrested in X-Men in present so X-Men can crossover with deadpool:whatever:

X-Men should never become deadpool & the X-men.That is why fox is moving faster to X-force so that can be their team franchise with deadpool.

I am going to need more than Kinberg's vague comments to be confident there is going to be another full X-Men film.

The OT cast appeared in the highest grossing X-Men film since X3. Thats enough reason to bring them back. You might think there's no sign right now for their comeback but you could have used that argument when Fox was making First Class in 2010. No one really knows what's going on behind the scenes but those who are involved making these films.

Anyway, I just don't see how they could include Colossus in the first Deadpool movie then not to feature any other X-Men other than him in future movies with Deadpool and the other present-day characters, especially if they plan to expand the series more. You really think they want expand this series without thinking of possibility using the original stars again? I don't think so.

I doesn't matter whether Daniel cudmore had played colossus in deadpool because he would just have been a mo-cap actor and that's pretty much all he would have been, he likely wouldn't have been the voice of colossus and he probably wouldn't have been in non metal form either.

And that's pretty much the reason Why he didn't do deadpool.

The Raft was not in deadpool. That was the shield hellicarrier

Enjoyed the film and just finished viewing...

I was actually going to say the CGI... was off... to me...

Side note... Scott and Kurt still my favorite characters. :hmr:

Feeling the same. It felt rushed, it felt generic, it's easily tied with x3, and I gotta be honest... the only reason it's even tied with x3 is that this film felt more "xmen" comic like than any of the previous. Singer just didn't flesh anything out... the film felt very phoned in... and relied on nostalgia to truly carry it. So many flashbacks, comic call outs, previous film nostalgia .. but barely any characterization and the little that was was very rushed.

I do not think singer can handle action and drama at the same time

He's playing with the right pieces of the puzzle, he's just not putting them together correctly
