It was cringeworthy to watch JLaw in Apocalypse. And if she is in makeup the whole time in DP, I feel it will be 10x worse.
You mean if she is NOT in makeup?

On another (partially unrelated) note, Black Panther has become the highest-grossing superhero movie of all time in US. Which sets the bar really high for the sequel. And I'm willing to bet Storm might make her MCU debut in there.
Given the way they treated the female characters... I wouldn't mind.
I believe it butShe said to look out for theisland scene. The costumes we've seen do show up early in the movie; space rescue. Quicksilver isn't stealing the show, but there is some notable teamup with Nightcrawler. Cyclops vs Beast at one point. There isn't a lot of action (like standard 3 act stuff), but there is a lot of power uses. The death in the movie is pretty much who folks here wanted to die so badly. Jean had voices in her head before she killed this person. Skrulls look scary. Overall, according to her, it was miles better than Apocalypse.
That's all I could get.
Her performance (and time without makeup) was equally guilty. I remember a review pointing out that it felt like she wasn't even there, only thinking of her paycheck. We all know she's a joker, but when she's proud of her performances she points it out (mother!), and she hasn't done the same for her X-Men performances, in fact unless my memory serves me wrong she even cringed when they showed a clip of her in Graham Norton Show promoting X-Men Apocalypse? I think her DOFP performance has a lot bad line delivery too, but I've already gone over that in the past.I think the marketing for Apocalypse might be to blame for that.
MCU Storm should totally debut in Black Panther. Actually, I think it's a smart thing to have most of the X-Men debut first sprinkled across other MCU properties. It would build excitement when they all finally get their own film. But all that is still years away.

Agreed. I could see Storm being introduced in the Black Panther franchise, Wolverine alongside Alpha Flight and Hulk, Iceman and Firestar in a Spidey sequel, Rogue in Captain Marvel and Beast in Avengers.

Guys stay on topic. I no joke thought i was in a MCU x-men thread for a few seconds LOLWhat I meant was: if without makeup she was already acting bored and like she didn't want to be there, with makeup, a process she allegedly hates, would be 10x worse.
I have no idea how they'll introduce mutants in the MCU. But those huge characters popping out like that in different franchises could be a bit messy, IMO. I can see some mutants or X-Men related characters appearing like that, like Juggernault, for instance, but not all huge ones. I also like your suggestion for Rogue.
The thing with Storm is, as much as we love her and know how huge she is, Black Panther has changed the scenario completely. It was a game changer. And Storm making her debut there sounds fitting to me, despite how controversial her relationship with T'Challa was.
Now with Wolverine, my unrealistic dream was to watch a whole X-Men trilogy without him, but I don't think that's happening at all. Disney/Marvel executives are allegedly already crazy to get their hands in him. They will probably introduce him as soon as possible.
So my "more realistic" dream is a first X-Men movie without him, establishing Scott, Jean and Ororo as the core characters. Then introducing Logan in a solo movie. Then making a second X-Men movie, and only introducing him in the third one. Since FOX has overused him in the X-Men movies, I think this is a possible scenario.

Most violent movie after Logan. The Skrull who takes on Chastain's human form. Skrulls stabbing people with weird arm/knives.

A quicksilver and nightcrawler combo action scene sounds pretty cool on paper.
Sounds promising. Was it "good" or just better than Apocalypse? Any character who hasn't been announced yet?

"miles better than Apocalypse"
I asked her about the returning mutants from DOFP and she said they're [blackout]Magneto's refugees[/blackout].
I expected a total trainwreck with Kinberg directing. So everything from mediocre to good will be ok with me. Judging from the rumors we will get an ok movie but again a very bad comicbook adaptation. that's fine...Marvel will change that soon anyways.
Right now I hope the movie will get some great mutant action. I just rewatched Age of Ultron. Although I do not think it is a particular great movie, the superhero action is amazing and I would love to see the X-Men in equally epic fight scenes as a team.
It's darker. It's more dramatic. It puts you on the edge of your seat as something like DPh should conceivably do.
Just making assumptions from what I've been told.
Those aren't things I expected out of Kinberg. With less action comparatively, it sounds like he got to focus on what matters.
