I think most of the time Travesty is just doing a bit of light trolling when he bashes the movie here. I mean 95% of the posts are jokes and digs rather than substantiative criticisms, I think it's just for the fun of it and he knows he may get a bite or two.
As a Batman fan, I can understand seeing any Batman movie more than once no matter how I feel. I'm sure I'll be seeing BvS more than once regardless of how I end up feeling about it. A lot of the time that's because I've got different friends who want to go with me at different times, but I still tend to go for at least a couple of viewings of the bigger movies- if nothing else for the visual experience.
Speaking of BvS, I'm actually starting to feel traces of legitimate excitement now. I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop, but the buzz continues to seem positive. Marc Bernardin gave it a thumbs up, and he's not a MoS fan.
Shauner, to suggest I have a short attention span, because I don't like the same movie as you, just makes me realize how much of a ****in moron you truly are. I've known of your stupidity for years now, but to presume that, is truly astonishing. What I just wrote to The Joker(SHH member), should be all too clear as to my opinion. There is no need to expand any further. If you have any specific inquiry regarding the movies in question, or an actual debate to certain scenes, sure, I have no problem hashing those out(as I've done for YEARS). But stop trying to act like you're taking the "high road" with your last sentence, cause you're not. It's easy to see through your bull ****.

Sometimes it's just jokes, sometimes it's straight up hack(semi-jokes that I know are lame for my own amusement*Sawyer falls for it the most*), and sometimes it's actual criticisms. And then sometimes it's a mixture of it all. It just depends on what it is I'm responding to or my mood. But seeing how this is so contentious, over something that I feel is completely obvious around here, is truly hilariously to me.

I honestly don't remember Trav talking about movies so i could be wrong for asking him if he only likes fast paced action movies lol. I have a short memory when it comes to this site. When i think of Trav i only remember gif's, smart remarks, and TDK/TDKR bashing. He never really chimes in about film talk or anything else in this section. Maybe he does in other parts of the forum but i don't visit anywhere else.

I've noticed that, too. It usually comes from the fans railing against the 'realism' aspect of the trilogy* and saying that it was the only Batfilm of the lot. BUT-- Like the loud minority who try to retroactively paint TDKR as being as divisive as MoS (nope)-- it always tends to come of second and often even third best in polls and ranking threads. I'm a fan, but I firmly rank it third in the trilogy myself.
*And of course, there are those for whom it's genuinely their favourite.

I watched it twice in theaters to make sure if I liked it. That's it. I just bought it recently on BluRay. It was used for $1. I got 20 min into it, and I just turned it off. I did watch the Batmobile doc though, and that was definitely worth the price for the Blu Ray.
I'm here at The Hype to specifically talk Batman. Sure, there's some bleed through into other areas now, but my bread and butter will always be Batman. I've been a Batman fan since I was 3 years old, and I'll be a Batman fan till the day I die. I don't see it as me coming here to **** on a movie just because, I see it as me talking about Batman. Sometimes that includes the things you hate about it. That happens with a character that has been around for decades now. He's had many interpretations, and some of them I'm not fond of. TDKR just happens to be a version I think is laughably bad. If there's something I like, I'll say why. If there's something I don't, I'll also speak up, too. But overall, it's Batman that brings me back.
So if you don't like my presence around here, blame Finger and Kane.

You're right about one thing Trav. Im not at the same table. I never was. I don't fit in with this crowd, never will. I didn't grow up reading comics like a lot of you. Im a movie fan. Im here to discuss batman movies. Im not interested in anything else regarding this forum. I dont see eye to eye with the people who make the "rules". I dont relate to the MOVIE section here, which if you look at the first few pages is filled to the rim with popcorn flicks and blockbusters. Which are usually not my bag. 90 percent of the discussion is excitement about comic characters, visual effects, tight suits, fighting. I dont relate, so no, im not sitting at the same table as everyone else. But im in the same cafeteria. Im also not used to always trying to make sure that i dont say the wrong thing, swear too much, piss the wrong person off. That's what this forum is about. So of course i get a little hot-headed sometimes because im not used to being strangled when i express myself on a messageboard/social media. It probably does create a bit of a agitated persona.

See, this is proof positive as to the level of "intellect" I'm dealing with right now. I never said those were the reasons why I don't like TDKR, that's how you conjured it up and are now believing, somehow. What I clearly wrote(and you can just scroll up a tad, its unedited), is why I would go see TDKR multiple times in theaters. Having a point about seeing a movie you don't like multiple times in theaters, is not even close to being the same thing as giving reasons as to why I don't like it. You either believe those things, or you're purposefully being dishonest, by trying to put words in my mouth, while trying to debate something I didn't say.
