Score dropped, both for audience and for critics.

I wouldn't take that score seriously anyway. It had like a hundred and eighteen thousand votes on it already when it opened today. People have been voting without even seeing it. Same on IMDb.

So far, this is the third post I see today saying this.
Wonder if I will agree with it a week or a month from now.

Here's another thing to laugh at
Superman dies, Batman takes Wonder Woman for a ride in his car, shows her images of other heroes to start the Justice League.
[BLACKOUT]
Does he bang her? [/BLACKOUT]Seems like a missed opportunity if he doesn't.

I've tried to stay away from reviews and in the end I always make my own mind up (as anyone should), but the few reviews I've read from critics doesn't make bvs sound all that promising. I was so disappointed by mos. Not that I thought it was a terrible movie, but rather I had such high hopes for it.

The reason MOS was underwhelming was because of a wrongheaded depiction of Superman and a tone deaf third act where he doesn't give a **** about anybody. But it still had a coherent structure.

Apparently BvS completely incoherent in both narrative and character terms. The plot makes little sense. Luthor's plans are dumb. And the characters just do things with no rhyme or reason.

I will have to see it to assess those points, but if it's true, sounds a lot worse than MOS.

Because you have all the problems of MOS plus incoherence.

I've heard the first hour is great well placed, then it goes to s### after that. It sounds like the third act is more of the same from MOS too, which I am not looking forward too.

I've heard differently: that the first our haphazardly hops from location to location without any coherence. Lacking in establishing shots.

Yeah....I've heard that too, lol.

Actually I've heard a lot of stuff at this point. To think we'd have a repeat of MOS only three years later. Lordy...

134 reviews, and it's at 34%. It's like the Twilight Zone. I can't believe it is at such a low score. There's no hope of it getting a fresh rating now. I'll be stunned if manages to scrape it's way to the mid 40's at this rate.

:funny:

It really is insane. I mean, I've certainly had my skepticism about this movie but I never imagined it taking even worse of a beating from critics than MoS. It's a strange feeling. One has to wonder just what the atmosphere at WB is like right about now.

I imagine everybody is on their knees praying this breaks box office records this weekend, so they'll have something positive to spin out of this.

Meanwhile, I'm still waiting for that Lego Batman trailer to drop.

That's what it sounds like. I never had a problem with the story itself in MoS. My problem was the execution of it. The stilted, George Lucas-esque dialogue and bland, wooden performance from Henry Cavill being chief among the problems.

According to the reviews, BvS seems to retain the same problems as MoS and adds a whole slew of plot and editing problems on top of them.

I'm watching Daredevil right now.
It's better than waiting to see where critics score will settle.

What do you guys make of this? True or B.S?

http://www.moovienews.com/20160323-major-shakeup-for-warnerbros-and-dc.html

It's clear now that the long-awaited Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice has been met with some pretty harsh reactions from critics, holding close to a 40% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

I recently spoke with a source at Warner Bros who took part in a late-night conference call with execs following the initial flood of negative reviews. The call was moderated by exec Steve Spira and included many of the higher-ups at WB. Here's what my source had to say:

"WB execs are ****ting their pants. If [Batman V Superman] makes less than a billion, [Zack] Snyder is out and Justice League will be delayed 8 months."

"Chris Nolan is being courted as a producer and George Miller, David Yates, Louis Letterier, and Vincenzo Natali are all being courted to take over Justice League."

"Wonder Woman is undergoing major rewrites. Specifically, WW needs to be reworked as a standalone film incase of a soft reboot. There will be a few weeks added to production. References to the events of BvS are being removed."

"Aquaman, Cyborg, and Green Lantern Corps are all on the chopping block."

"Investors are planning a major takeover if [Batman V Superman] flops and have plans to install a board that will order the universe to be rebooted."

Although the source said the 'investor takeover' part is just a rumor as of now, it makes sense considering the amount of time and money they have invested in BvS being the film that kickstarts all future DC films. It has to be a success.... financially if not critically.

So far Ben Affleck's batman is being praised as the best thing in Batman V Superman, but seeing as how his solo film won't hit until sometime in 2018 due to his busy schedule, his future as the caped crusader could be in jeopardy along with the rest of DC's slate of movies post-Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman.

Apparently the film has even more flowery and psuedo-grandiose speeches in place of actual dialogue than MOS and the Nolan films.

Lord....

I dont think it's true, but if so, they need to stay away from every director on that list outside of George Miller.

Wait, the director of the Incredible Hulk, Now You See Me, and Transporter 2?
I like the idea of choosing him, but his work is received as well as any of Zack Snyder films, so that is where I draw the line and call B.S.

Yeah me too. If they're considering him, perhaps the problem is the studio just as much as Mr. Snyder.

Edgar Wright please. Edgar Write's JLA containing space Gods, fifth dimensions and fallen angels from heaven.
