I like how Flint Marko brought up him using the word to describe movies he isn't a fan of.

That was a brilliant burn.

Honestly that thread is one of the most entertaining on the Hype. Always guaranteed some laughs and OTT dramatics in there. If we had not had the ultra hilarious Rotten Tomatoes thread in the BvS forum where the most epic fanboy meltdowns happened last year, I would have voted the DCCU vs MCU thread as thread of the year in the SHH awards.

The movie had plenty of Peters' requests from the Superman Lives days.

-The polar bear.
-A giant "spider".
-Superman having eyes "like a f***ing killer".
-Jimmy wasn't gay, but he got a sex change.

:o

Not to mention he said didn't want him to fly or be in the suit because it looked gay. lol

C. Lee gracefully responded to the hilarity of it all.

Apparently WW is a disaster. That's a shame.
Dont say that to a certain poster though, he won't believe it unless it's from one of his more truthful sources..

I believe it's a disaster. I'm starting to believe the entire universe is going to be a disaster.

This is the story that's starting to circulate.

You know, I'm starting to think that DC is showing some of the potential pitfalls of the cinematic universe approach. Even if Wonder Woman ends up being okay, but people go into it looking at it a bit sideways because of the other movies and it gets harsher reviews.....I think that's revealing a negative side effect of the "contagious" element of a cinematic universe. Marvel has benefitted from the positive aspect of that because they've made some really massively audience-pleasing films and their lesser films have been able to get somewhat of a pass from the general audience. I actually agree with a lot of what Tiffany Smith says in that video.

The funny thing is I actually don't think it's a bad thing that DC is having some difficulty. Between's Sony's failure to launch a "Spider-Man Universe" with ASM2 and DC's stumbles, I hope this signals to other studios that launching a cinematic universe isn't just easy peasy, crank'em out as quick as possible and the audience will lop it all up. Because frankly, I think the whole cinematic universe approach is getting out of hand and is starting to water down the blockbuster landscape, so if DC ends up being a cautionary tale that slows it down even just a little...I'm oddly okay with that.

Of course there's always the chance that WW ends up winning a lot of people over, and I still do hope that happens for the sake of the cultural significance of the character and for the sake of catching a break from all the fanboy whining. It'd be nice if at least one DC movie got a great reception just so we can all take a break from all the conspiracy talk.

But Patty Jenkins... Breaking Bad...
This can't be bad.....
:csad: :waa:

Alan Taylor worked on Game of Thrones and he's got Thor 2 (turd) and Terminator: Genisys (turd) under his belt.

On the bright side, the film is probably still in rough cut form and there's still theoretically time to fix the any possible issues, if those issues end up being recognized by the studio and creative team and aren't just one person's opinion. Reshoots aren't always a bad thing. It very well likely did save Rogue One for example.

As long as we don't have trailer companies re-editing the movie...

Patty Jenkins did not work on Breaking Bad. Michelle MacLaren worked on Breaking Bad and she was hired to direct Wonder Woman before she bailed due to creative differences with Warner Brothers. So WB hired Jenkins. I've honestly been skeptical ever since because MacLaren is great and WB don't know what they're doing so if they want to change something, I don't have confidence in those changes. Unlike Marvel who has the ability to do something logical even when they lose an Edgar Wright (Ant-Man).

I really enjoyed Terminator Genisys on first views, never attempted to watch it a second time.

It's going to take more than one person saying they heard it was a mess to have me concerned. If these rumors persist like they did with BvS and SS then I will be convinced.

This universe would have been so much better if they rebooted Batman with a younger actor like Gyllenhaal. Touched up the Man of Steel script and hired a different director (Matt Reeves or Abrams) and DP while keeping the core elements of that Goyer story, and cast. Followed that up with a Superman sequel while introducing a proper Luthor played by Phoenix or Damon, while sprinkling in Bruce and Diana without having to see their alter egos in action. Went through with a Michelle MacLaren origin story for Wonder Woman. And hired George Miller to take on Justice League soon after.

Ok.
Thank you. :)

I will never be able to sit through that pile of s**t.
It's an interesting experiment, and the only Terminator movie I watched that does not have the name James Cameron attached.

They will persist, I'm confident of that.

Some of the shots in the trailer looks good but Gal is stiff and when dumbass WB gets Michelle MacLaren to back out, it shouldn't be a big surprise that the movie might fall on its face. Snyder and everyone associated with Snyder seem to know how to cut an exciting trailer. But it means nothing.

No Snyder, no Ayer, no older Batman who is trying to murder Superman, no Suicide Squad until much later.

I agree with all of this.
I was always on board with Affleck as Batman, but I can't help but think they've put themselves into a corner for the long run. Batman is, and always has been, WB's bread and butter, so hiring a busy, older actor like Affleck has undoubtedly limited the amount of times this version of Bruce Wayne can don the cowl unless they recast.

They will persist, I'm confident of that.

It's likely. If they come from enough reputable sources then I will be concerned.

I'm still amazed Ant-Man turned out as well as it did. It had all the signs of being Marvel's first dud. I ended up liking it more than Captain America's, Thor's, and Hulk's first films, as well as the same year's Age of Ultron.

Same here. I didn't think it was great. Some of the humor didn't land with me, but overall it was a pretty decent flick.

I love it, but starting today I wondered why no one asked about the guy Darren Cross kills in the gents room.

How the hell is Gotham introducing Harley Quinn in season 3? God i hate that show.

How are Batman villains costumed even before Batman?

It's the best elseworlds show out there.
