This is easily one of the greatest tracks ever made for a movie.

Hell yes. That scene and that music--

I associated it with headache for a long while, still do, even more than all the neon lights and purple mix in those movie.
It's like a weird mix of the Elfman and the 66 themes, a mix that should make it instantly appealing, but ends up being the opposite.

Heh, I was wondering if I was the only one who was like that. MoS trailer #3 (the big three minute one everyone raved about) is great, but it always reminds me that I was really sick the day it came out. So the still unreleased SDCC trailer rules for me.

One of the best scenes in that weird movie.

I hope this feeling doesn't last with you 22 years.

Time for the B&R commentary, I'm a little late behind that.
I'll comment while watching, and jump from this lounge to the Justice League forums lounge.
I hope anyone willing to watch and start commenting is ready.

Logos, intro, posing, instant classic dialogue... almost 3 minutes of time to skip, up until we see sick Al plot begin.
I never understood why they changed the spikes design on Batman's gauntlets to fish fins, or why Robin has spikes on his Nightwing gauntlets.

Commissioner Gordon talks like a robot, man is his intro dialogue stilted.

Mr. Freeze froze everything in the museum, guards not frozen nor phased by the cold surrounding them come to the ladder telling Arnold to stop or they shoot, they shoot immediately after their warning, that's when freeze face starts walking.

"the hockey team from hell"

we should be calling this movie Batman '97, because schumacher had to be going for an Adam West vibe, right?

Freezing them was more self defense than aggression.

GLORIOUS OPENING ICE PUN

He was alone, three security guards come his way to be frozen by his gun, and we magically see two thugs working for him with a behind the scenes extra as another guard.

Man, all the other security guards had their hats stay on, this ones hat dropped off as he was getting the ice treatment.

It's amazing, freeze didn't see the diamond in front of his eyes as he was standing on the steps facing it before he froze four security guards.

the good folks at Warner Brothers actually approved this entire hockey sequence

thats pretty hilarious

Can't have a Batman without him breaking at least one window.

I'm fascinated how none of the security guards were smashed in that slide.

:hehe: they had to show the broken Robin door as Batman was sliding.

Robin flying through the wall and inexplicably creating a Robin symbol sized hole is the best part.

Freeze, and amazing Hockey puns.

How did the iceman get his rocket inside the museum without damaging anything? Is he an iceman as a pun based on fired Batman who played a character named Iceman?

Batman freezes, Robin doesn't. OK.

FREEZE WELL.
:funny:

super soldier serum? I don't think marvel liked that one.

and nice touch with the gray streaks in John Glover's hair, very subtle.

Ship blows up, kills thousands. But it blew up near Fatman and Boy blunder, nobody dies.

There are more Ninja Turtles inspirations here than Cowabanga.

Yes, jump the guy with the gun, smart move.

"You have eleven minutes to thaw the bird" all the four frozen guards are dead by now.

I love how Freeze took his time to wave goodbye.

Why would anyone want to mate a plant with a reptile?

It's amazing how this number of big figures found their way to a secret mad maniac lab.

"Antonio Diego", did they use this name for Bane elsewhere? No? Ok...

You said he's a volunteer for an experiment, and you're ready to market super soldiers this early? Tell me more of your ingenious plan.

oh my god

they made Alfred Barbara's Uncle, thats right. My mind must've blocked that out.

I can't imagine the fan rage this must have caused. Gordon really got the shaft in the Burton/Schumacher era

I never thought of it this way, but there is a Lazarus Pit under the lab.

"FELLOW MANIACS" cool respect for your costumers.

It's amazing Bane broke nothing as retribution in that duration.

That security montage must have been their original plan to edit the origin of Mr. Freeze into the movie, but they used it as a security footage that does not work as security footage.

How did Batman know so much about Freeze's suit after just one encounter with him? He might have wanted the diamond for making his wife Mrs. Freeze.

Robin doesn't need more simulated training, he needs more brain exercise.
