The Dark Knight Rises You Have My Permission To Lounge - Part 8

It's funny how much Batfleck and DCEU fanboys have to let us know how much the Nolan trilogy sucks. Pick a scene, any scene from the trilogy on youtube, go down to the comments section and there is always a top comment about how much Nolan's movies suck or how Bale sucks or how brilliant Snyder is.

If they are so good what are they doing watching TDKT on youtube? You don't see the reverse. If you watch a BvS scene, sure some comments are from disgruntled MCU fanboy lambasting it. But I never see a Nolanite talking about how much better the trilogy is. It's mostly a one sided affair.

Inferiority complex.

Don't worry. Whoever replaces Ben as the younger version, he'll be known as the greatest and WAY better than Ben.

Just as the Keaton fans said in comparison to West...

And just as the Bale fans said in comparison to Keaton...

And so on...

Agreed. I personally never connected with any of the movie versions of Batman (well Kilmer slightly) until Bale. I still think his work in Begins is amazing and will stand the test of time. Affleck? I admit I liked the fight scene. But its reminiscent to me of a comic that uses profanity in their act. There's nothing wrong with it and it can be really funny, but I have a little more admiration for those that pull off those laughs without it. Bale gave a completely realistic and different performance as Bruce Wayne, the public version of Wayne and Batman. Affleck's bulky, some what meatheaded look with a penchant for killing just south of the Punisher was entertaining for what it was. I can't say I've experienced any of the excitement or anticipation for the new DC films that I had for the Nolan films.

I really want to see Ben with a good director and script. Dude was given the rawest of deals with Snyder. Maybe even worse than Kilmer/Clooney with Schumacher.

That's true.

I think I just feel bad for the guy. He's obviously a big fan of the character and originally didn't want to star in any Batman movie, but got roped in and the results were far from stellar.

I just think the guy deserves a fair shake. But if they do decide to straight up recast Batman after JL, then I'm game for that too.

I don't feel bad at all. He loved Zacks pitch, he loved making the movies so far and loves the end result. I think it would be nice to see him in a better batman solo movie with better direction and a better script. But if it never happened and he was recast, then I don't feel bad honestly. Even with Reeves, I have a hard time believing Ben will match Bale in three range/emotion department, or Keaton in the charisma department. Affleck or another actor, I'm down.

I need to start popping in more often, but I don’t see how anyone could hate the Nolan films. They’re the best adaptation of Batman second to the Animated Series, but they’re not only good Batman films, they’re great films in general.

Affleck as an actor, he’s fairly lame. I’ll give some leeway due to Snyder’s delusions of grandeur getting the best of him.

I don't know man. This doesn't look like a man that's happy with the end result, lol.

Lol, I'm not talking about reviews or box office results. He seems happy with how the films turned out.

Haha perhaps.

Enough about Affleck, let's say he doesn't come back for The Batman, who would you guys like to see step into the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman?

I still want to see the Fant4stic sequel directed by him.

LOL, he's dead, more dead than Super constipated man.

Not even close. I like him in the role but he's way below Caine.

Not one to give long winded speeches to deliver a point, and he doesn't give everyone access to the batcave. I think you're on to something there.
