I wouldn't trust iTunes. Their transfer for BvS looks nothing like the disc.
Especially if it's 4K.

I agree with this. Although I don't watch the movies as dark as the screenshots of old look here.If those screencaps are indicative of the quality, I'll stick with the originals.

It definitely looked different from the first trailer.
I don't really mind the shifting AR in the Nolan films. The only movie where it actively bothered me was Transformers: The Last Knight because it had three aspect ratios it kept switching between.
For me it was this trailer, it's got the best unused shot in the movie.

Thank you Mr. Obvious?
I saw a few in there. Which did you think was the best unused shot from that trailer?
Damn, he hasnt even achieved the title of Captain Obvious
Thats cold, b!

Certainly looks like HDR to SDR conversion. Colors are muted and skewed towards magenta.
Is this just itunes or will other streaming services have this new transfer?
After seeing all these screengrabs it's pretty clear the trailers is a good representation of the intended look of the film. With frequent teals and greens. Good to know the film will finally get back it's green-ish color identity, similar to BB (sepia) and TDKR (blue). Happy to see boosted contrast and black crush, as well as sharpening, are gone.Yeah, I feel reasonably sure that's what it is. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the reds pop more in the actual version, but when converted to SDR it goes a bit far.
Even so, I have to say just watching bits of the movie on my computer was a trip. This is gonna be so insane on with a 4K setup.
I don't have a 4K player or TV at the moment, but wow am I itching for all of that right now.

Only iTunes so far. Apple has now switched to the 4k remaster as the version it streams for all 3 films.
