One of the things I think that made me like Rosenbaum as Lex so much was how it turned from friendship, to distrust, to hate, to going head to head. It was an emtoional explosion of badassery

How they ended that relationship was so hilariously dumb.

People have been worried about Lois and Bruce hooking up. It's obvious Goyer and Snyder want to give us a love triangle of some sort. Nah, ain't going to be Bats/Wondy/Supes. They're going Nu52 on us. Ex-boyfriend's back in town to work with Lex Luthor...

But, instead of Johnathan Carroll... he's Johnathan Corben aka John Corben aka Metallo!

Oh, and they're totally going be like the Hulk and have Lois's dad, General Lane be all up in there too saying to Superman "Stay away from by daughter, you monster!"

I know, I know. It sounds too awesome, right?

I like the idea of intergang first. A bunch of different threats rather than one villain, and then have more focused villains in the sequel.

I'm totally fine with dual leads (Batman/Superman) or an ensemble cast with shared screen time ala Avengers.

Whether it's a Superman movie, a Batman/Superman movie, a Trinity movie, or a JLeague movie, it's still the sequel to Man of Steel!

I concur. I don't think he's a bad actor, but I just don't think he can pull off the intelligence of the role.

And, I'll be honest, I've always imagined a black actor in the role.

Yeah, me too. It's funny, the two actors I've always pictured in the role (Fishburne and Lennix) are already in this series as other characters.

I feel like it will end up sharing a lot in common with the overall flow+use of supporting characters with IM2, for good or ill. And I don't think it will even be intentional. Just in part of the writer/director wanting to do a true sequel, another part wanting to do a Superman-Batman feature, and another part that wants to set up the JL movie.
