I loved Superman/Batman Public enemies too. I also liked the animation, everyone else thought it sucked...
The animation there is fine

So, I just had a random thought...

The Batman (2019)
Starring Ben Affleck
Directed by Guillermo Del Toro
Villains: Clayface, Man-Bat, Killer Croc

My heart would possibly explode. :wow:
How many will say that movie is overstuffed and too much is happening in it?

Just give me a few days the most I can come up with is at least a proper outline on a short notice.

Considering Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Lex Luthor, Lois Lane, Cyborg, and Aquaman are all sharing the screen in two years, I'd say it all depends on how it's written.

Joker, Two-Face, and Scarecrow all fit into one film comfortably.

Why Del Toro? I would much rather see an Affleck directed Batman movie than Del Toro.

You would rather see Affleck's take on Killer Croc, Manbat and Clayface? Nah! Del Toro has demonstrated a knack for monsters, his designs for those characters would be off the hook

I'd believe in Del Toro's ability to deliver on those characters over Affleck

Who said anything about me wanting Man-Bat, Clayface, and Killer Croc in the same movie? Again, I'd rather have Affleck direct it.

Yup, I'd take Affleck's direction for the next Bat-film over most.

Considering that a solo film has not been confirmed, it's a bit premature to argue over directors. Simply, I'd welcome a take that is different from Nolan's.

I like Del Toro but I wouldn't be jumping out of my chair if he were picked to be the director of a Bat-film.

It's not an argument it's a discussion about a hypothetical Batman movie.

Wonder Woman sounds better to me or Tarsem if we need a small budget. :o

James Cameron directing EVERYTHING! :wow:

Kingdom Come directed by Terrence Malick, screenplay by Malick & Edgar Wright. :p

For the hypothetical solo flick, I'd suggest:

1. Affleck
2. Paul McGuigan. After rewatching A Scandal in Belgravia and focusing on the direction, I'd say McGuigan could offer a unique vision for a noir-based tale.
3. del Toro.
4. Ruben Fleischer (based on his excellent work in Gangster Squad.)

Heh, I'm rewatching The Hounds of Baskerville right now. Love his direction.
