No but when the news gets a glimpse of the batmobile from a helicopter that would pretty much cinch it.
Lois figured out who Clark was based solely on rumor and innuendo...the Batman fighting crime in Gotham whether against the major rogues or just the mob would not be hidden n a world of surveillance and openess. This isnt grainy footage of Big Foot taken in the forest, these would be videos in high def taken, and not just one or two (like most urban legends) out in the middle of nowhere but hundreds if not thousnds of them of him running around one of the biggest cities in the country. Someone would have looked into it and it would not be hard to connect the dots.
it just doesnt pass the smell test...
I fear for this production in that it's not a matter of what they aim to do making sense but as last time(see Jon's death), people outright not getting it regardless.
Alot of people are buying into the bolded. I actually see it a lot and I fear it's one of the major hang ups contending with the myth idea. However it reads to me as to the precise way people are coming about this wrong. For example: Santa Claus is an Urban myth, simply seeing his 'tech' make an appearance during the parade or any other instance(non magical of course) doesn't actually negate the premise that he's an urban legend. If anything that stuff inherently enforces and fuels it, especially those ready to believe(see kids), in batman's case, the superstitious and cowardly, corrupt, the downtrodden civilians, orphans..etc. The batsignal every night and within view of Arkham/Jail windows is a master class on this on this sort of hoax/conspiracy.
That is, seeing this fancy high tech car driving around every so often, but never seeing who in fact is driving it, could easily be seen by the skeptics(such as Perry or Martha may be) as...elaborate to say the least. Something that maybe a Clark Kent(with a special interest in metas) would be sent down to Gotham to investigate and get to the truth of.
That people would even correlate the most recent vehicle to 'the batman' is a stretch imo. Gone are the 90's where the 'batmobile' had bat symbols on the hubcaps. Seriously, you see that thing roll by some windy after noon and unless you read comic books or follow current movie news you aren't entirely entitled to think you saw this thing they call the 'batmobile' but rather some terrorist vehicle or some movie prop(on a film shoot) or a bunch of things.
One has to understand just what it takes to prove a myth true. Just how much footage and eyewitness reports does there need to exist for BigFoot himself to step out of the myth realm into the fact realm? Serious question.
Just how many youtube videos and roswell conspiracies until aliens are a fact? Perhaps like in MOS it will take a city battle and truly coming forward. Till then, myth's will be myths.

it just seems so silly. "No, you must understand this makes so much sense!!"
