Perhaps, but i wonder why she would even go back to the LOA in the first place. I mean she talked about how she did so many horrible things for them and now, after everything that she's been through this season, she wants to go back to them and do that again?

It made no sense. At all.A lot of the 2nd half of this season relied too much on plot contrivance. The sub could only shoot manned torpedoes until- hey! The Russian guy knows how to arm one all of a sudden.

It's the same thing here. They had to find a way to put Sara "on the bus" in order to make Katie BC.This was the only option they could think of that would take her that far away from Starling. But it makes no sense.

I'm a little mixed on Thea.In a way,it's a little lame that she gets back with Roy and then sees his arrows and does a 180.Where did she think he was going? He even says something like "I couldn't live with myself if I didn't try."She knew he was going to be with the Arrow by that, didn't she?

But....I kinda like the concept of Thea training with Merlyn. We've had more than a taste of her petulant attitude.I buy that she'd do this.I was afraid that she'd be more willing to go,but she seemed anything but! (she shot him for corn sake!)

I think she sees Malcolm as a means to an end.Like Vader with the Emperor. So I think it could lead to some pretty interesting storylines. It makes sense that Ollie wouldn't want to train his little sis in a life of crimefighting,so this is the best way to get Thea up to speed(y).:woot:

It's really dumb. Before, she was willing to kill herself, because she didn't want to be forced to keep killing people as a member of the League. But now that she's choosing it of her own volition, hey, killing people is all dandy now.

Say, what was the most facepalm worthy moment for you all in the entire Episode? For me it was when Oliver couldn't hit Slade with a cure arrow, because he was so adamant on wanting to hit him in the chest. Which was obviously armored.

He could have hit him in the shoulder, the rest of his exposed arms, his thighs, stomach. Heck, if he wanted to be a real dick, he could have shot him in the crotch. But then he actually says "I can't get close enough to hit him." ****ing seriously? You are an archer. One of the best DC has to offer. You hit bouncing tennis balls for christ's sake. But you can't hit large, unprotected parts of the human body?

Actually, he can shoot them, but only in a straight line. The manned torpedo had to be controlled because the sub was stuck and it wasn't pointing in the right direction.

Best part was Roy putting on the mask but yeah he should have gotten his ass kicked. He isn't THAT trained.

Love the final scene with Waller. Him in Hong Kong is gonna be great next season. I can see thw flashbacks being half in Hong Kong then the rest of it being him getting thrown back on the island.

"Don't forget who taught you how to fight, kid."

Well, it wasn't (all) Slade, so who was it? Any guesses?

It was funny how Sara's second death was pretty much the same. Sliding out into the water through a hole in a boat. Unless that wasn't the death and Sara was also picked up by Waller, which keeps her in next season.

So.. who is going to bring Slade food and water.. Oliver is one mean SOB ;)

Lady Shiva? Richard Dragon?

For some odd reason I half expected Aquaman to rescue Ollie from drowning.

I found the episode a bit disappointing, but still good...until they basically told us Laurel will be Black Canary next season. That really kills my enthusiasm for season 3.

This was an EXCELLENT finale. It almost felt like it could have been the series finale in some ways. I love the decision of having Ollie let Slade live. This whole season has been about how Oliver has to be better than he was in Season 1, its his journey of becoming a real hero. After everything Slade has done, Ollie was strong enough to let him live. Very well done.

I'm still not sold on Laurel becoming Canary but...we'll see. Maybe the writers can sell it to me. Plus I'm sure we'll see Sara again. I"m curious as to whats going to happen with Roy, surely he's going to find out what he had done while he was on the mirakuru.

I LOVED the twist with Ollie and Felicity. When he told her he loved her I was like "Wait. WHAT?!" It made no sense. But then it was all part of the plan to take Slade down. I really hope the writers don't put them together, starting a romance between them would be a BIG mistake. Ollie and Felicity have a brother/sister like relationship, and it works perfectly that way, let's not ruin that.

I actually like Thea's development, I don't know why everyone's all up in arms about it. She was easily one of the most annoying characters on the show for a long time: "Why's everyone LYING to me?! Oliver I thought I could TRUST YOU. YOU LIED TO ME. MOM LIED TO ME. I HAVE NO MORE LIFE." Blah blah blah shut up already. That got old real quick. Putting her with Malcolm will give the character a much needed boost, edge and maturity.

So Oliver has history with Waller. Interesting. I wonder what happened in Hong Kong and how did he end up back on the island?

I'd give this a 9-9.5/10, excellent finale to an excellent show. Cant wait to see what comes next.

I wonder if Thea will find out Malcolm is also responsible for the death of her father and Ollie missing at sea.

She might just off herself if she finds out she's been lied to again.

Laurel is waaay better looking than Sarah so Im down if she becomes the Canary. and agreed, Katrina Law is gorgeous!! I wish Ollie actually meant it when he confessed to Felicity, best part of the episode imo haha.

Ok, so are you going to be coherent and stop watching then?

I thought it was a great season finale. I loved that they didn't kill off Slade meaning he can come back. :woot:

The Sara part made no sense, her and Ollie don't even get a goodbye?

I think the writers were planning on killing Sara but after the positive reaction she got, they came up with a patchwork exit.

Agreed didn't make much sense.

Even without the super powers Slade is still a well trained assassin & has a lot of skills someone like Waller could use. He will be back no doubt

What's putting me off season 3 is Thea's arc

I don't want Artemis
I'm tired of Merlin/Black Archer

I don't mind Sara teaming with the league of assassins as that means more back story and action
I don't mind Laurel getting the leather jacket as that means wildcat training

I hope someone is stupid enough to experiment on Slade, and gives him his powers back.

Sara leaving made sense to me. She felt her city and her family were in serious danger, which they were. So she went to the only place she can for help.. and we all know that would come with a price. She made the choice to help save the people and city she loves, and she's content with it for that reason.

So, um, is Slade going to be fed food and water in this isolated prison? lol
