It's blatantly assuming readers are dumb asses.
"Look! We are giving him problems! Look! Problems! You liked a lot of these years ago! remember! Problems! Spidey has them!"
It's like when John Byrne re did the orgin story. Like, every issue was like a cock slap to the face with it's "SPIDEY'S ORGIN HAS CHANGED! WE DID THIS, DEAL WITH IT!"
It's lazy ass writing at it's best and insulting readers intelligence at it's worst.
It feels like it's been ages since Spider-man's had any real life problems, and I don't think it's an insult to the reader who's been picking up the book for the very first time.
