I know I'm replying to my own post but whatever.

Affleck looks huge, the only thing is I hope he works his arms a bit more and drops some more body fat.

Besides that he's going to be a beast.

Are all the Superheros under Snyder going to have the same kind of costume, It looks like the MOS suit but the Batman version.

That's pretty much the way it's been since 1939. The design of Batman's suit was always based on Superman's from the get-go.

My Zod!!! I get off of work, go to sleep and didn't bother checking into the Hype and I find this waiting for me.

Very nice. VERY NICE. I can see why Smith was beaming.

Also, in those pics of Ben in the aquamarine shirt, look at those forearms!!! Yeah... This is indeed shaping up well. Batsuit? Check. Batmobile? Check. Bring on WonderGal.

I love how the emblem looks like it's bulletproof. Big target for bad guys

I like how the emblem has "scars." If Detroit is supposed to be Gotham, it kind of fits that a scarred and beaten up city has a scarred and beaten up guardian. And maybe the shape of the suit foreshadows the shape of Bruce underneath; wouldn't it be cool to see the scarred back image from Alex Ross in a movie?

Plus, it suggests he might already have tangled with Catwoman a few times.

didn't know if should start a new thread about this bu do you think the movie and future instalments of batman movies will delve deeper in to his detective side, The Dark Knight did this a little bit with the bullet ballistics and fingerprints etc. however most batman movies never really fully explore this side of batman. He is technically the greatest detective around, so why not show it more?

I think yes. Snyder n co seem to be trying to differentiate their Batman with Nolans.

omg.... its Frank Miller's batsuit come to life. :hubba but better-- its got texture, it looks gritty. asdfasdfadfasdfasfdf :hrt:

and that Batmobile! its like a combo of the Keaton batmobile and the tumbler. asdfasdfadfadf :hrt:

i know we havent seen a single frame from this movie but VISUALLY this is just EXCELLENT. hitting everything outta the ballpark.

of course with Snyder, had we any doubts with the visuals? :woot:

i am cautiously optimistic for the Wonder Woman costume now. its clear that Ben's Batsuit and Henry's Supersuit has a commonality between them (texturized and comicbook-inspired yet realistic) so yeah here's hoping the Wondersuit follows the same feel. :ww:

It's funny that you mention his forearms. I was just thinking that's the one area he might have Cavill beat in terms of physicality.

Looking at some of the more recent pics, he seems to have this air of confidence about him now that he didn't quite give off before. He's like, "You know who I am! I'm Batman. I handle @#$%!"

All Affleck needs to do is have (at the very least) a commanding voice and we're officially good to good.

^ Funny enough..I really think the voice is pretty much the one thing standing in the way of him being the definitive Batman. He's big enough, with Snyder's lighting crew he'll probably be scary enough, I think Ben is a good enough actor to be a serious Wayne, and hell have no problem pulling off the "partyboy/aloof businessman" role. But it's the voice that I think will be what sells him as Batman. That and the fighting, but Damon Caro made Crowe fight like a boss. And the Watchmen fights are arguably the best fights in superhero cinema.

Also, the movie will have to be good. Too many angry fanboys want to throw him under the bus, and they will do so if the movie isn't up to scratch.

yes #THIS. as much as i adore Bale as an actor his Batman voice was just laughable-- which is sad because of the level of talent that man has.

^ His Begins voice was fine. It was gruff, but with a sense of control.
His voice became more garbled in the sequels, and that's partially to blame on the postproduction audio work.

His Batvoice in BB was fine. Different, but fine. In TDK and TDKR, it felt like he was just parodying his vocal performance in BB to much less impressive results.

^ I'd argue it's a combination of hammyness and post work ;)

"WHERESTHETRIGGGORW!!!"

I think "Where are the other drugs going?!" worked because it was truly unexpected. But it seems like shouting was his go-to interrogation tactic, rather than a last resort.

I like the lack of exclamation points. I personally find the idea of a person being calm in a traditionally tense situation to be unsettling, as he or she is more mysterious that way.

This. When he held the stapler to Gordon's head, perfect Batman voice and line delivery.

^ If he used his stapler-voice for all but the most extreme cases..I would probably think him near unstoppable in terms of pure acting ;)

He loves the character and took a pretty good (and at this point in his career, unnecessary) risk signing on to the role.

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt when he says he won't mess it up.
