The only thing missing is the right Bat-Nipple being exposed.

Ever since TDK, Bale's voice has been horrible. I still think the worst is after he captured The Joker.

"DIZZ SURTY, JUST SHOULD YOU, THAT ITZ FURL OF PURPLE, READY TO BURWEVE IN GURRRRD"

Ask Talia's death scene, she'll tell you. :oldrazz:

Hahaha nice job, I totally heard that in my head as I read it! I love the Dark Knight Trilogy, but am not a big fan of Bale's Batman voice, I think the new version is spot on perfect.

Same 5 o'clock shadow and everything.

I've been meaning to ask you or another fan of the character: When exactly did "the scruffy" look for Batman originate in the comics? To clarify, I'm not referring to the times when his lack of grooming was the result of some disability incurred in the line of duty. When did it first become kind of commonplace for him to be depicted that way? I'm guessing it started with All Star Batman & Robin, the Boy Wonder.

Batman:The Long Halloween has batman growing facial hair, and that was years before AllStar Batman.

I hope he keeps the stubble. It looks so much better on Ben

That's where I thought it all started too. And I thought the talk of it was brought up especially with Affleck playing a Frank Miller inspired Batman.

Yeah, that's when I first noticed DC pushing that look for the character. In other instances prior to ASB&R, there was usually some reason -- stress, disability, etc. -- for it being there. Then, following the release of All Star, "the scruffy" was almost ubiquitous. You'd see it in other comics, the Arkham games, and now a live-action movie.

In Year One, he sports a mustache

It's even in the symbol of TDKR's big bat symbol almost.

Seems like it. And I like it.

Yes. And the "scruffy" translates well on screen. :awesome:

Indeed, it does.

I still remember when many of us would have discussions about the look when the film was still in the early stages of production. I never thought Snyder would actually go for that, though. It just goes to show what a true fan of the character he is.

Visually yes, he's the Batman. He's Bruce Wayne. It's pretty cool. But it all means nothing until we see his performance. A few clips as of now doesn't tell us the answer, yet. And if he really is fantastic, and these movies turn out meh, that will be frustrating because the wait for a solo film will feel longer for me.

I dont know about all of you guys, but as a Batman fan first and foremost, i would have preferred this Batman in a new trilogy instead of what we're getting. Ill feel shafted if he only does like 1 solo film and 4 team-ups with Snyder. That would be a waste of a great Batman imo. It's like yeaaah we got the Batman from the comics (not jumping to this conclusion yet of course) but he only did 1 real Batman movie! Man that would suck.

Don't even worry about it. Batman is "the man" in DC universe in terms of money making.

I think they'll establish a schedule for Batman movies once Batman v Superman is out.

Like you Shauner, I definitely want to see more of this Batman in more than just one solo movie if he turns out to be as good and interesting as I expect him to be. But I can't imagine Affleck will work on a trilogy. He's going to want to invest in other projects probably. Just my thinking. And like you say also, it ultimately depends on his schedule.

I said it before and I'll say it again - I always thought that scruffy look works great for Batman and I'm glad they went with it.

the 5 o'clock shadow was a must for me and I still can't believe they did it

just gives him that rugged toughness

He may do well, he may suck, but he has already nailed my favorite batman moment in cinema, when he ran straight into the smoke a building falling down. That was just epic.

I think I'll be fine if we get at least two solo films w/ Affleck or one solo film and a larger Batman presence (not just brief guest appearances) across other films within the DCEU, specifically Batman universe films ala Suicide Squad and, of course, Justice League. Keep him out of Superman and WW, though.

 It almost makes you feel like Snyder reads these boards from time to time.
