Chapter 44 - "The Eclipse, Part 1" - Discussion Thread 11/17/2008

So who's drawing that comicbook now? Arthur has a monthly he's putting out? Drawing the future seems to be one of the more popular powers for this show.

I really Don't think it's as simple as Eclipse causing losing powers, I think it's something more complex.

how can a fan of the show like Sylar being again bad? this is really bad writting to jump hes characters for the last 2 seasons. make up your mind.

Yes. I am completely appalled. I can't believe that teh unstable serial killer who has shown a desperate desire to be special and accepted by his mother would show signs of being a bit...unstable when offered acceptance from his parents for being special.

Thats so out of character. LOL.

Yea, I'm still not sure about the whole Sylar ordeal. I liked the idea of him becoming good but it's clear the character is unstable.

At this point I'm just going with the ride and reserving judgment till the characters arc comes to an end.

Um, they've been introducing and killing off cool villain after cool villain. This show obviously centers around Sylar and his evil ways

I don't know about that. Some of those escapees were as one dimensional as our buddy Sylar.

They kept Señor Puppet Master which i thought was really cool, and Claire's hick uncle is still around. Not to mention the rest of the Major villains, so while there's a lot of focus on Sylar I wouldn't say it centers around him.

If that's the case than it's still the Peter Petrelly show featuring Hiro and his amazing friends.... :p

The only guy they offed that I was upset over was the German. And Sylar didn't kill him.

i stopped watching this 2 eps ago. just cant get into it very much. i did like the african painter then they killed them off. could loeb having to much on his plate be the reason for the down fall of the tv show?

So... does anyone of the "Heroes season three rocks" brigade, want to explain the whole 9th Wonders comic still being printed that tell Hiro's future?

Also, if there was already so many comics out about Hiro (even in Japanese) then how come no one ever stopped him and talked to him about it?

I'm sure they will explain it in time.

Why do you and others in the "Heroes sucks because it doesn't cater our fanboy wet dreams" brigade feel that everything in the show needs an answer right away instead of letting it remain a mystery for a while?

"Heroes sucks because it doesn't cater our fanboy wet dreams"

Sorry. I guess my wet dreams of character development that actually sticks, having a respect for continuity of the show so far, a set bunch of rules for the world, and good writing are just too much to ever live up to.

:whatever:

Issac drew the future in advance. Hiro is searching for the last issue which Issac gave the courier along with his sketchbook in season one

B/c we get enough of that with Lost :o

I'm interested in Tracy going to Parris Island. I spent a year and a half there. I wonder if they really filmed there, or if it's going to not even look like the Island at all.

I thought it was funny she called it Marine Training Fecility. It's called Marine Corps Recruit Depot, and Arthur said they need to get an army. I doubt they can do that much with Untrained 18 year olds. But, who knows.

Seriously! lol

But Lost is a better show when it makes you hold out for answer for even longer periods of time...... :whatever:

Why does it seem that Heroes fanboys attack Lost more often then Lost fanboys ever reference Heroes?

I really Don't think it's as simple as Eclipse causing losing powers, I think it's something more complex.

Well, that much is guaranteed because they characters didn't get their powers from the first eclipse, wasn't Claire already doing her "tests", Nathan flying out of the car crash, Sylar taking a power or two, Hiro experiementing with his powers. Seriously the show only has 44 episodes and can't get it's own continuity right.
