Chapter 7: "Out of Time" Discussion 11/5/07

I just hope 24 and Lost are good this year, and that the writers strike didn't totally anniliate all my mindless TV watching. :o Oh and I did like tonight's episode, I think its cool that West isn't a badguy but its pretty obvious he's going to sacrifice himself to save HRG. I mean, there's no subtlety at all on Heroes.

what the hell? if anything he'd sacrifice himself to save Claire.

Well, Nikki will most likely die this season (Ali Larter wants out anyway), so he might not be around much longer.

Really? Larter being difficult on set? Unhappy with her role?

West finally becomes interesting. I wonder if he'll turn against Claire. And I'm still wondering if Mohinder will go through with killing HRG.

Well the producers have already said that the characters you love will make tough decisions and risk their lives and sometimes those decisions will get them killed. Nobody is safe on heroes, 5 years down the line...Suresh might not even be there, or Hiro...:csad:

Did anybody read this over at AICN? And if people already knew, sorry i just found it. In regards to the strike. Don't know if true.:

Reportedly, Tim Kring wouldn't comply with a weekend rewrite that would tack a season ending onto the last script written and is now off HEROES.

I think it has to do with the fans. She wasn't always very popular, and at the San Diego ComicCon Convention, someone flat out said to her, "I don't like your character. Is there any way she could be killed off?".

I don't see how it can be avoided unless this is an elaborate scam by HRG and Suresh.

Losing half of your viewers is just about the slump of the century though.

Heroes usual average last season was around 14/15 million, this season majority of the episodes have been above just 10 million. THats not bad at all. Greys as gone from pulling in 23 million to about 18 million here and there. Same with Desperate Housewives.

In a way he will be doing just that. West is going to realize that HRG is a good person. It's a very old cliche, because Noah has nobody to help him, but his greatest friend is his greatest enemy. West is going to talk to Claire and realize that the real enemy is the company, Suresh is going to go get ready to kill HRG, and just in time West will jump in front of the bullet shot and die on the floor. Then Claire and HRG will both look at each other and realize each other's faults. Like I said, it's too obvious. :o

Claire's the only safe one. Hayden's confirmed she's signed on for a full five seasons. Personally, I think Peter, Niki and HRG are going to die this season.

It's hard to avoid true. But I will miss HRG. He makes Jack Bauer look like a *****.

Really? I read 6.8. Or maybe that was the rating. At any rate, it is still quite the drop. And there is a big difference between 18 and 10. Especially when we are talking network shows. The show will continue to stay on the air. It is not in risk of cancelation. All I am saying is, maybe I'm not alone in my opinion as certain people would like to portray.

I never really believed she wanted out since last season she was all pro-heroes and loved working on the show.

no way! Someone actually said that to her?! Harsh! :o

Its AICN. Don't buy into it too much.

Yeah I know. I'm very well aware what AICN is all about. I'm just putting it out there, because anything can happen with this strike.

It's lame to kill off a character just for dramatic effect. It only works on Lost.:o

Killing HRG for me is a jump the shark moment. I understand thats not the way for everyone, but for me it is. He is the best character on the show. To get rid of him is a bad move in my eyes.

At this point though, I don't see who else it could be. I don't see how they can go back on it without making viewers see the paintings as pointless.

Heroes has never gotten that low of a rating. And its hard to compare 18 to 10 when I was talking about Greys having 18 million viewers and Heroes having 10 million. Last half of the season for S1 of Heroes averaged around 14 million viewers. This season the lowest rating they have gotten (that I ahve seen so far) is 10 million from a 14 million season premire. Thats not bad at all.

:wow: I don't like the character, but thats just rude.

There's no way they are killing HRG or Peter. The fanbases for those characters would go crazy and there goes the show.

Claire, HRG, Peter, and Hiro are the safest characters on this show. Either because of their powers or fanbase.
