Chapter 7: "Out of Time" Discussion 11/5/07

Okay in all seriousness im just telling you what i think and im not trying to be rude but, when it all comes down to it were all really excited for this show and are for the most part enjoying the show and enjoying talking about here but everytime a episode comes out your as negative and a sort of buzzkill. Im not trying to be rude and you are entitled to your own opinion but come on its getting a little old if you dont like the show then dont watch it.

That is ridiculous. I clearly like the show or I wouldn't be watching it. Being able to watch something you enjoy with an open mind and see flaws is not the equivilant to hating something. Perhaps if you don't want your buzz killed you shouldn't come to a public discussion forum.

Perhaps. Never-the-less, it feels tedious and unnecessary this time around.

It bothers me a little that they waited till episode 8 to explain what happened, but it's welcome as we'll still be getting information that'll advance the story. It's interesting to find out how these characters interacted during the months before the show picks up again.

Are we really going to play "The artistic value of this show is so much higher than everything else that it excuses bad pacing" card?
Now, I'm using the "they are using writer's tools freely and are doing a good job because of it" card

she might be, time will tell

Claire and Adam's powers are very similiar if not the same. Does it not go to logic that if he is, she may also be immortal?

At least I'm not the only one.

The difference between Spoons & you is that you have been whining about every single thing about this Season since it started compared to him. Its your constant whining these past 7 weeks thats annoying & not your opinion. Move on Matt

I don't post here much but the past few episodes have been dragging to me. I don't have much faith either for the season of this show hence this writer's strike.

I find the parallelisms to X-Men annoying and kind of frustrating that no one who watched this at school sees it except you guys.
Now you know how I felt last year. Imagine writing X-men and then seeing something like that. That's what it was like. :o

It is, I just feel they are doing it at the wrong time this year and the questions aren't really big enough to warrant their own episode this time around. Hell, most of them could've been pieced together in the viewer's head.

DL died from the gunshot wound. Nathan flew away (or was forced away by Peter). Peter survived based on Claire's power, etc. I feel like the questions that need answered (Elle and Adam's relationship to Peter, how Peter got amnesia, etc) can be answered through the current plot as opposed to moving things back four months.

The problem is these "flaws" are ALL YOU TALK ABOUT. You don't come off as a fan when all you do is complain about what you don't like and never add anything constructive about what you do like.

I've really only started to complain in the past few weeks when the plot went no where.

At any rate, I'm done acknowledging you. You have been warned by The Albafan and I have taken the liberty of reporting your behavior tonight. Fingers crossed for banning and not just probation.

Yah but thats the problem this forum isnt much for buzzkilling except for you and maybe two other people but everyone else either loves the show or sais its just okay which is fine but you point out every little problem and then overreact on some minor things like next weeks episode, alot of good shows do episodes that show past events so why cant heroes?
Oh and i wasnt being rude to you but you were too me.

This was the best episode of the season! I didn't expect half of that stuff to happen until much later! The Hiro vs Kensei battle, West seeing HRG, Suresh and the gun! I think he may actually shoot HRG now.

I wonder why Kensei wants to "Watch the World Burn" now? Hiro taking his girl seems like an awfully petty reason to murder 93% of the worlds population and counting. The reason has to be much bigger. Perhaps over the years he becomes disillusioned with mankind and decides that they're all irredeemable and deserve to die?

It's been established Claire can die from a heart or brain removal or injury. Then again, it probably applies for Kensei, to. Or any of the Heroes.

Also, anyone glad that Sylar and The Wonder Twins were gone. I never thought I could not miss Sylar, but he's been a bore this season.

Sure I do. I said positive things last week and the week before (and that was really when I started complaining about the pacing). This week too. Certain fanboys who are waaay too sensitive however, simply choose to only see the negative.

Matt I think the problem is, as someone mentioned before, that you caught up on the show through DVD's, where you can watch the story play out all at once. You're not going to find that luxury here.

Because people dont really care. They want a good story and to be entertained. Heroes does that, and they are inspired by certain stories, nothing wrong with that. There are barely any original storyline ideas in movies/tvshows anymore anyway. Everything you watch you can find happened on another show at some point.

Now you know how I felt last year. Imagine writing X-men and then seeing something like that. That's what it was like. :o
Yes, when I'm watching this with my momma or sister I'm like "OMG, they did this in XMen:o " and they're like  , or I'll tell a friend, the list is kind of like the Mutant Registration Act in X-Men and they're like "Huh?

I don't think it is that at all. You saw pacing problems in the first season (even on DVD). Bad pacing is bad pacing, plain and simple. Regardless of how you watch it.

He's always been a bore. I think he's a lame villian. He doesn't do his research.

How exactly was I rude to you?

And because someone's opinion does not agree with majority they deserve to be treated poorly?

If they kept the cast on tonights show plus Sylar I would be happy. The other characters like Maya, Alejandro, Micah, Monica are Unneeded boring and just useless

I think Sylar's awesome. Well, he was last season. He's damn creepy and he does have depth to him. And Quinto plays him in such a convincing manner. If I ever ran into ZQ on the street, I'd probably be scared ****less, even though I hear he's incredibly friendly in real life.
