Crowd Reports!!!

Crowd was generally pleased.

A few were upset (like me) that there was no after credits scene.

That's one of those things I had to google before going in. I saw half the crowd still seated when I got up. Then after hitting the bathroom I walked back in to listen to the score and they were still there.

My girlfriend and myself went to the 7pm showing last night, it was packed. She dressed up in her supergirl costume and I wore the muscle shaded superman shirt with a red cape (hey I'm a pretty skinny dude). A bigger guy showed up and said "That's awesome, I was going to wear my cape but I chickened out. Now I wish I would have." It was fun, people laughed at the appropriate times and loved the movie overall. She snapped this picture when I wasn't expecting it otherwise I would have had a different look on my face LOL

U got balls. N I want that shirt!!!

My crowd cheered at the end and did stay after the credits expecting a after credit scene

Maybe 20-25 people at the Walmart showing I went to but the IMAX midnight show was sold out. Walmart audience was really tame but the audience at the IMAX showing were eating it up. Lots of gasps and some claps when THE MOMENT happened and then one guy yelled "He made you do it Superman!" That got a few chuckles lol. A LOT of chatter afterwards and real positive energy leaving the theater :yay:

My midnight shows where 90+% full. People loved it and so did I.
The scene where Superman kills Zod got an applause and cheer at first but when they showed Superman's reaction it went DEAD SILENCE. One of the best crowd reactions I have ever seen

In the end most of the people where excited and it got an applause.

Also
Everyone cheered when he put on the glasses at the end

Overall: One of the best midnight screenings ever. On par with the Avengers and TDKR

The crowd I was with really enjoyed it and got a huge amount of claps at the end.
Superman killing Zod got a lot of gasps and shock and a lot of clapping after people took it in. Great moment
.

Great experience and I'd say it was about 97% full

Crowd at matinee showing seemed pretty into it. Good amount of applause at the end, which really surprised me because that almost never happens. There wasn't any clapping for Friday morning matinee showings of IM3 (meh) or STID (loved it).

Just saw an afternoon IMAX showing. About half full. Peeps were cheering at the end. I was too! Awesome movie!

my 7pm showing clapped, and cheered...my midnight showing was meh...

When Superman and Lois were kissing. At the end some guy got up and yelled wow f**kin lame ending. Than Zod came out of the rubble and he got kicked out. It was amazing d bag deserved it

My crowd was super quiet, and while no one cheered during the film, where was clapping at the conclusion. I attended the midnight show. The conversations leaving the theater were pretty mixed though. There were a LOT of Dark Knight comparisons which many fans felt was actually a negative.

My buddy saw it already... he thought it was ok.. but basically agreed with the critics,... too boring, the action were not inspiring (basically the same thing repeated over and over again)... too gloomy and boring (no jokes, etc)...

He still recommended it, though, just thought it was a transformer type movie, except without the 'fun'... his buddies agreed too..

So, even among the GA, it's pretty mixed... (BTW: My buddy is not a CBM fan, nor a comic book fan at all.. he's as general as you can get)

A bkt sad to hear.

Btw, I think the GA is gat used to marvel formula... u know all those self promoting hreo scenes then the GA in the movie telling u how grateful they feel and saved by the heroes.

I think we're actually getting a biased 'GA' reviews on this board or online.. a lot of the 'real GA' don't even bother with boards or online reviews.. my friend didn't even see RT scores... they just go watch movies for movie's sake...

And I think that GA, the majority, looks to be quite divided on MOS as well... some of my buddies liked it, some hated it... but all said it was an OK movie to go watch... Most will not go out of their way to 'recommend it to friends'...

Exactly. And how the GA reacts this has a direct bearing on what kind of "legs" this film will or will not have at the Box Office.

My midnight crowd was awesome. After the 300:ROAE Trailer two guys down in front went "HAAOOOOH!!!" I died :lmao:

Sure. If MOS is cool, n people haven't watched it will be regard as outdated... then... u got the meaning.

Went to the midnight show, and nearly everyone in the crowd applauded at the end. They were all really, really into the movie. Lots of cheers, and positive reactions in key scenes.

On a side note, nearly everyone erupted in laughter at the Gravity trailer. Did anyone else experience this? I saw that trailer online a few weeks back and I thought it made the movie look pretty intense. But after sitting in an audience where everyone laughed hysterically at it, I don't know if I can take it seriously, lol.

I went to the 7pm showing and when the DC logo started up some guy yelled "Marvel who?" that got a few giggles, aside from that there were a few cheers when [blackout]Supes and Zod fight[/blackout] and the end got a few claps.

I wasn't expecting a post credit scene but many of us stayed.

Yeah, at least half the theater stayed for a post credits scene too.

Guys, how is this in IMAX 3D?

I've had bad experiences with regular 3D before, but love IMAX.

You know what's worse than seeing movie with gheto people? Seeing it with nerds. Every CBM I see in theaters theres always at least 2 groups of nerds who voice theyre complaints and how it's not like the comics. Screw em

But other than that my audience wasnt that tht large since it was a matinee in a not that busy theater. But they seemed kinda into it. A few clapped at the end.

Chattanooga, TN

I arrived around 8:15 for the midnight showing on Thursday. A 7:00pm showing had been allowed so most of the people were already there viewing that. A large group of my friends came dressed as Batman, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, Hawk Girl, Wonder Woman, Clark Kent, Lois Lane, Black Atom, and many more I can't remember.

Movie goers had a great time letting their kids take pictures with us. We did trivia giveaways to the audience and everyone had a great time. I would say our theater was 90% full, but it was showing on four or five screens that night as well.

We'll be doing it all over again this Saturday.

I remember my favorite part of the screening, right after [BLACKOUT]He kills Zod[/BLACKOUT], everybody's dead silent, and some chick whispers "Lois, go get your man":yay:
