Why not knock off ALL the outlandish hyperbole that keeps going around? Y'all aren't happy with how the film is turning out. Cool. I get it. But the constant mining of ever last word in every sentence of every interview until something negative can be found is so tired. Your points are clear and can easily be understood without resorting to extreme reaching.

Yes , it is a negative vibe in here, but at least they are "talking" about what they are reading and hearing, all you do is come in here and "get upset", and then make a statement as ridiculous as what you just did, and you call what they are writing as hyperbole?

Get a dictionary and look up that word, because what you posted up there is a PERFECT EXAMPLE....

You want to share your positive thoughts on the subject, FINE DO IT....but don't post that kind of crap again.

KINBERG: But I would say there’s a spectrum, and we’re on the spectrum between Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man and Chronicle. It would probably lean more towards Chronicle.

Does anything more than this need to be said to sum up this whole project? Who but Fox could take a property like Fantastic Four, look at Spider-Man and Chronicle . . . and say: "Let's make this more like Chronicle."?

Have you seen Chronicle?

Yes, and it's NOTHING like the Fantastic Four. I've complimented both Trank and the film, but not with the idea that FF should be anything like Chronicle.

My hope was that a talented young director could make a film like Chronicle and then, hopefully, go in a very different direction and make a very different film.

I've seen and enjoyed Chronicle. It's not really much like the Fantastic Four. Spider-Man arguably isn't really the right tone to shoot for in a Fantastic Four adaptation either, and at least their comic book counterparts share a universe. I feel like this particular creative team would be better suited to doing that Chronicle sequel that may or may not ever happen. Heck, if they're dead set on this team doing a Marvel adaptation they could find an X-spinoff to put them on that would better suit them. There are dozens (at least) of Mutant characters and story's that could be a coming of age story. Why not put Trank and co. on something like New Mutants or Young X-Men?

Couldnt we keep the positive guys mostly in here ? Surely a thread with the title "The "Keep Hope Alive" (that the rights can revert back to Marvel) is meant for more the negative side of things. Both that & this thread are very active. At least in this thread the positive side wont feel very left out & anyone positive posting in the Keep Hope Alive thread is essentially trolling

If all the negativity left... There wouldn't be any discussions in this thread

I agree. If Chronicle is on the spectrum and Spider-Man is on the same spectrum, FF should be even farther along that spectrum than Spider-Man on the other side. FF should be bigger, bolder and more mature than either film.

It's called the FANTASTIC Four for a reason. The people at Fox would screw up a wet dream.

I don't know what you mean by like it's nothing like fantastic four in relation to the tone of the movie. Which was what Kinberg was talking about. He didn't say it would be like chronicle but would have a similar tone.

Kinberg also said the bigger bolder adventures of the four would come in the sequels. That this movie would be more about the origins of FF and Doom.

The negative zone has been playing a large part in this film's whole production.

It's a "grounded" negative zone. It's where the members of the Tranktastic four (Or five. Perhaps six?) go to insult each other.

Is there anything inherent about it that says it has to be negative, or a zone? :o

you continually miss the point. the people positive about this movie don't care what you think. i certainly don't need your approval or acceptance. use that ignore feature if your skin is too thin for this. your attempts to ghettoize everyone who disagrees with you is trolling.

At this point, it's time for you to take your own advice (and some from me).....if you don't like what someone says....ignore them....debate them civilly....or leave.....those are your options.

Pretty clever of them to kill two birds with one stone. Set a date for a sequel that will never be made---(therefore having a placeholder slot taken early for another project) and pretending they have enough confidence in the mess that this is, by even having the nerve to talk sequel. LOL

Unfortunately they are too clever by half.

Yes, that was pretty obvious.

one of your own is telling posters to "grab a dictionary." is that the standard of civility i should be adhering to?

Do you really want to stir up crap tonight?

How about we let them post anywhere they want? As long as they are actually talking about the movie, rather than putting down other posters opinions simply because they don't like them.

FOX should be thankful that us FANS talks about this FILM because WE CARE!

Regarding the people who continuously stand on the line with their alignment to defend the progression and development of Fox with this film that they hate all the NEGATIVITY that Fox or this film is getting, let me quote Confucius:

“Don't do unto others what you don't want others to do unto you.”

IF Fox is showing RESPECT to this franchise then RESPECT is what the FANS will give them, if they show lack of RESPECT to this franchise then lack of RESPECT is what they'll get.
