And we all saw what happened with Megan Fox. She went and got plastic surgery on her pretty face. :csad:

Luckily Henry's a dude so as long as he doesn't get into any face-scarring car crashes, he should be okay. :oldrazz:

And yeah, he's an actor, not a model. So I'm guessing he'd like at least SOME people to comment about his acting. :oldrazz:
He better be okay, I want another Superman movie.

This may sound weird but...was anyone else blown away by his amazing chest/pec development? I mean, they were almost implant-looking...they had their own area codes!:up:

Clearly, all that hard work in the gym paid off--he was cut up like knives on cheese.
I will have to see the scene where he has no shirt again, but based off just 1 viewing, I will say that I think he has the best physique we have ever seen in a superhero film.

There's been Hemsworth and Evans and Jackman, but I don't think any of those managed to make the audience gasp in their shirtless scene. There was a collective hush and gasp when Cavill appeared with no shirt. He was sculpted like a god or something. I think what he achieved is extra-ordinary.

You have to give it up to him for working as hard as he did on his body. His body in Man of Steel looks completely different from his body in Immortals and he was in great shape for that film but he didn't have as much bulk.

The behind the scenes photos say it all, he really looked that good.

I'm actually not all that impressed by pecs or biceps. I see similarly pectacled guys at the gym all the time. :funny:

What I AM impressed with, are back muscles. Because so many guys ignore it in favor of bench presses and have horrible posture as a result. Henry had nice back muscles too. :awesome:

Also...poor Henry! He's probably sick of hearing how good-looking he is! :funny:

LOL A woman with great taste in musculature! Mad props.

I've said since the very first spy photos of Cavill during the oil rig scene, that what makes him stand out from the pack is his great back. No doubt thanks to GymJones and their great emphasis on functional strength. But yeah, as important as the barrel chest is to looking like Superman, being able to see his lats from the front and that epic V-shape torso is as much a part of Superman's iconic silhouette. Afterall, that is what makes him look so epic and masculine in the classic hands on hips pose. It is no coincidence that the pose is called in bodybuilding a "front lat spread".

Aside from the obvious (looking the part), Cavill did an incredible job balancing some complex and subtle emotions. He was the perfect blend of stoicism, charisma, anger and frustration, and possibly most importantly, compassion. Wonderful portrayal, every bit as memorable as any other superhero performance we've seen, and probably one of the best when all is said and done. It will be interesting to see his take on Daily Planet Clark Kent.

Heck yeah. My first thought was, "Send me the workout, or at least tell me how to do a muscle transplant, if possible!" :lmao:

Agreed.

I also thought the kids at each time in Clark's life were exceptional. They did a fantastic job.

Fully agree they done exceptionally well, usually for me child actors have a tough time to convey emotion but each of them were great. As for Cavill his screen presence is just "damn" im 100% straight but when he was running about half naked , the definition on his body you cant but help think "perfection"

Cavill is one of the few reasons why I am rooting for MOS to kill it at the BO. The man was born to play Superman and he not only proved me right in the film but also exceeded my expectations. And the best part is that he also has a ton of potential left to evolve as a Superman (if they get someone who can actually write Superman for the sequel) and I'd love to see him lead a JL somewhere down the road.

Henry Cavill surpassed my expectations as Superman and then some, he is Superman to me the same as RDJ is Iron Man and Bale is Batman, he is the true modern incarnation of the character.

I am so excited for the announcement for the sequel date.

Cavill was amazing, my brother turned to me and my friend at the end and first thing he said was he thought Cavill was great. My friend who isn't a Supernan fan at all said he was too and he rated the film an 8/10.

With all of the discussion about things that were off or wrong in the film, I've been overlooking plenty of the things that made it great.

Cavill did great showing Clark's progression. In the beginning, he seemed unsure of himself, still finding his way. After learning about his heritage, it felt like he was relieved and there was a sense of acceptance, and even pride. The way he spoke to Martha and how excited he was to tell he found his answers. The flight scene was excellent. It symbolized to me that he was embracing his powers, taking the time to learn to fly and enjoying it.

With the critical talk about the film lacking a sense of wonderment, Cavill brought it in those moments.

"Don't play games with me, General."

That was the real, first (of many) moments where I went, 'THAT IS SUPERMAN.'

Cavill was absolutely fantastic.

Henry was super, especially since the last two incarnations, the dreary Brandon Routh and the dismal Tom Welling were so very awful. Thankfully he did so much better.

Clark: dammit dad, thats my girl
Jor-El: my son, I died to save you, my wife your mother died a horrible death.....let me have this one happy moment
Lois: I love this family

:funny: sry I had to :p

Just like I felt about Welling and Routh, Cavill did a fine job. The script just didn't work well enough to me, but for different reasons in this case.

Dont know if posted but he's on the cover of Muscle and Fitness as Superman
